Cash Money Records CEO Birdman spoke exclusively to MTV.co.uk this week, revealing Lil Wayne’s album plans for 2009. And in a change to expected plans, it seems both Tha Carter 4 and Rebirth are due to drop this year, as Baby explained:
“Tha Carter 4 is out December 15th, we won’t release The Rebirth as a double CD like people are saying. Both will be out before 2010. We’re looking to take over the game completely, flood the market. The Grammy’s are ours next year.”
So it looks like we will still be getting Tha Carter IV, but just not as a double disc with Rebirth. I’m not sure what to think as we still haven’t heard a single from Carter 4 or Rebirth yet, but December 15th will be a crazy day if Rebirth, Tha Carter 4, and the Young Money Compilation all come out. I will believe the release date for rebirth and carter 4 when I see them on the shelf. I could see rebirth coming that day but I highly doubt we will see carter 4 anytime soon.

Don’t see it happening, Wayne doesn’t really want it.
If it happens something is gonna flop, no way that 3 albums on 1 day will be successful.

Birdman is talking so much shit. How can you be the hottest mc if you make the most money? I’m pretty sure 50 makes the most money of all the big timers and he aint that hot right now. The trick is to constantly be in the spotlight and at the same time have good lyrics, and Wayne has done that since 2007.

I hope C4 does not release this December .. Its better off to take yur time with the album and make it a master piece to its best, rather then pushing it. Rebirth + YMC would be great
And I think im one of the few ppl who are actually looking forward to Rebirth .. lol. I haven’t seen much positive feedback from the fans since Prom Queen.
