British singer and Cash Money artist Jay Sean has said that he thinks the photo of Lil Wayne apparently sharing a kiss with his mentor Birdman was “misconstrued”. The rising singer was signed to Birdman’s Cash Money label last year and recently scored a US number one with his song Down featuring label mate Lil Wayne. Speaking about the infamous picture that appeared to show Birdman kissing his protege on the lips, Jay Sean told FillingTheVoid: “I haven’t discussed that [photo] with either of them, but I know that they have a relationship that’s like father and son and I’ve witnessed that myself. Birdman often talks about Wayne as his son and personally, I think that photo got completely misconstrued. I think they were going for a hug, that’s what it looked like. But I don’t know – I don’t care.” The singer added that his relationship with Wayne is more professional than personal. “We have a friendship, but I’m never gonna get that deep and start asking him personal questions. I think you’ve got to respect people’s boundaries. I’ve never been a really nosy person anyway.”

I mean it’s only 8 months, so if he can’t then it’s not that long…but i mean wayne going to jail just seems weird.
No new lil wayne for 8 months, his career is sadly headed downstream. as much as i want him to come back from this, i don’t believe at this moment he will be able to! I am a huge fan of his, but do u think he will come back as he is now? Greatest rapper alive..If wayne took the rap game over in a year, can’t someone else do the same? I will still be a fan, and for all we know he may just get a couple months and some community service, he is not OFFICIALLY sentenced until Feb. thats still like 3 months. Birdman is too stupid to be as rich as he is. Wayne has more money than Jay-Z, because from the outside looking in, he’s doing more? What a jackass statement. It’s never been about who puts out more music. All the mixtapes Wayne puts out, are free to all consumers, he says so all the time. If you purchased one, you got had. Secondly, Jay has been making interest off of his millions for longer than Wayne. Third, it’s about power moves people. It would take more time than I actually have right now, to list all of the shit Jay-Z is involved in outside of music, but the man is richer than Lil Wayne…bottom line. Wayne won’t catch up, if Jay-Z dies tomorrow, because the interest that he makes alone, has him close to billionaire status, if he’s not there already. On paper he’s worth a billion, rest assure. Birdman is only rich because of Wayne, and he knows this. Power moves, not who puts out more songs.
*This is a real ass statement though, and I want you all to think about it, and not just blow it off like nothing. People want to know the key to Lil Wayne’s success? It’s GOD first and foremost, but the passion, and a true love for what it is that he does is very much inside of him. If you look at any rapper in the game who made big money, or is making BIG MONEY like Wayne, Tupac, Big, Jay-Z, whoever, they’ve been expressing themselves musically since they were wearing underwear with action figures on em, and by the time they were int heir 20’s they were millionaires. More than likely you can find an interview out there on YouTube somewhere, about how they grew up as little kids looking at hustlers and other rappers with all the money and success, and they wanted to have it, so bad that they’d do anything to have it. The above rappers, hustled and worked they asses off, and that’s why they made it. You can’t just want to do this for the money, cars, clothes, and hoes. Those are perks that come with the game, but in order to truly blow up, rapping, writing, poetry, lyricism, entertaining, and great work ethic, have to be in your veins. Wayne shot himself rapping. He was a kid doing drugs, ans selling drugs. The hood is really in him, and that’s why he raps about it so passionately and gives it his all. You can tell the Bubblegum from the real shit. I think Wayne kind of had to sell out a little when he went mainstream to make more money, but he’s angry inside, and I think this 8 months will give him time to re-evaluate alot of his past choices and what’s to come in the future. God works in mysterious ways people. Yep!

Dwayne Michael Carter….Wat can i say? he is the best thing tht ever happened to me. I truly believe tht he IS tha best rapper in the game, wit Gucci Mane, nd Jay. The frist song i ever heard was ‘The Block is hot’, i was truly hooked by his musical talent. My fav song is “Deathwish feat.jadakiss”, it gets my hairs to stand up!
