Every different website I have been on has gave a different release date for Lil Wayne’s Rebirth album! Last we all heard was that the rock album was being released on February 1st just before Weezy goes to jail, but according to AllHipHop and Walmart we will be getting Rebirth in the Summer. The latest release date is 22nd June 2010.
The only reason I can think of the pushback is that Lil Wayne is re-doing all of the album since Amazon messed up and the album leaked. I have heard that there will be a new Prom Queen on the album (new lyrics and beat etc), and hopefully we will get the “On Fire” music video soon for a bit more promotion for Rebirth.

So stop hating. All these goons who are calling Rebirth bad were expecting a rap album or something when it never was supposed to be.

Y’all all need to calm down. We basically got the first Rebirth album in December; that’s what was originally going to be released in February. If a new Prom Queen is on the album, as well as all new songs, this is basically like a brand-new revamped LP and it’s worth the wait.
There are still unreleased songs from the album because there were 100% confirmed collaborations by Weezy with Drake, Lenny Kravitz, Avril Lavigne, among others for the Rebirth album.
Although I am hoping that by next summer we will have Drake’s album, a few He Raps He Sings leaks, and maybe even the first Carter IV leak. Because I know for a fact that a few people out there have the first Carter IV single *coughGibzencough*

I agree with you 110% on the quality of the album. It was a damn good rock ablum that gave tastes from many different genres. Anyone who appreciates multiple genres of music would enjoy this album. This album was indeed for Lil Waynes fans that love music in general. The fans who hate it are caught up on just rap music, which isnt bad, but shouldnt critize it if they dont belong to the rock genre as well as the rap genre.
But back to the push back scenario:
I’m excited for a whole new rebirth actually. All new songs from what we already have!? That sounds awesome considering all we were going to get in February was the same exact album.

@S, awhile back a very reputable source claimed to have in his possession the first single to Carter IV. It wouldn’t have necessarily leaked, the people who have it are obviously respectable enough Weezy fans that it hasn’t happened yet.

I personally think this is very much like Lil Wayne, and honestly, he’s a smart business man in that respect. If you think about it, we should’ve seen this coming when Rebirth was leaked. I agree with LilWayneHQ, Lil Wayne is definently changing everything on his album (I’m exited for prom queen) My evidence being that sources say that there’ll be the new prom queen and Lil Wayne is big on surprise. The most of a peak he will give to his fans is a single. When No Ceilings got leaked he added new tracks, when Tha Carter III got leaked he replaced it and it sold A Milli in its first week (no pun intended) so we should be happy because there is a chance it will be good enough for that to happen again.

ok. i got rebirth already and i gotta say im really impressed. waynes doing what he feels like doing and he suprisingly did an alright job making rock music. i expect that the next version will be better but he definitely gets props for this one. YEE WEEZY!
