Lets face it JayZ has more money. He has Rihanna signed onto his label for goodness sake. He’s richer.
But IMO Wayne is a batter rapper, although I love JayZ’s flow
jay-z is a better business man all together. Even without beyonce he’d have more money than wayne. He had his own label, ran Def Jam, has a clothing line, cologne, perfume, a shoe line, he’s made movies, etc. etc. etc. You can’t make that kind of money just making music. Even if wayne does have different ways of making money, the whole YM CMB do way to many drugs for them to be wealthy. Sure they can be rich with a couple million, but they are never going to be jay-z/p.diddy wealthy.
Lyrically, i feel wayne is just more current. Everyone thinks the best rapper alive is just the best rapper currently rapping. Compare reasonable doubt, to waynes early work.
Compare jay-z’s trilogy the blueprint, compared to wayne’s carter trilogy.
It’s easy to see, Jay-z is still lyrically better, just because he doesn’t make all the 14 year old girls go crazy, doesn’t mean he’s below wayne.
