Above is the official music video for Nivea’s “Love Hurts” single from her forthcoming album, Purple Heart, and Weezy F Baby makes cameos throughout the video. Nivea (Wayne’s ex-girlfriend) and Wayne have a baby together, and this is one of the ten videos Wayne shot before heading to prison. Weezy agreed to appear in the video on just two days notice and he appeared on set for close to two hours of the nearly 12-hour shoot.

I actually really like this video. His agreement to cameo in the video shows how he accepts responsibility for his poor decision making. Similarly, his openness to step up and take responsibility for gun possession on his tour bus; when in fact one of his entourage people could have. I’ve followed his career since before his time with Hot Boyz…of course, I can see a drastic change in his music; but, I truly think he is a genius in his own right…business, entrepreneurship, and lyrical creativity. There are demons he is privately dealing with that are catastrophized by the media’s negative portrayal and people’s poor ability to exemplify empathy for those in the celebrity limelight. (smh).
