First Lil Wayne Song Recorded After Being Released From Rikers Coming Today

On Monday night, Lil Wayne returned to the booth for the first time after being released from prison, and has finished a song ready to be put out to the world.

“We’re trying to put it out, like, tomorrow,” Cortez Bryant, Wayne’s manager, told Rolling Stone. “We got a crazy song. If not tomorrow, definitely next week.”

So if we don’t get the song today, we will be getting it next week.

Lil Wayne Returns To The Studio

Last night, Lil Wayne was getting back to business after being away for 8 months. Weezy had his first recording session at Hit Factory in Miami which lasted through till the morning. You can see a photo above, and you can also see that Tune is using a notebook which he has not done since he was 17 years old. Wayne was also recording his verses over a Develop beat, and here is a lyric from one of the verses: “If time is money, I’m an hour past paid.”

Lil Wayne Thanks Fans, Speaks On Las Vegas Performance & Last 8 Months In Jail

Lil Wayne is a man of many words when it comes to his rhymes, but the superstar MC was short and to the point when describing how he’s moving on past his experience in prison the past eight months.

“I forgot about yesterday,” Wayne told MTV News exclusively on the red carpet of his “Welcome Home Tunechi” party in downtown Miami on Sunday night (November 7).

The night before, on Saturday, Wayne surprised fans and Drake by appearing on stage next to his protege during Drake’s last tour stop in Las Vegas for his Light Dreams and Nightmares jaunt.

“It’s unexplainable,” Wayne said of returning to the stage. “Words can’t explain. I’m good with words and I can’t explain.”

“I just wanna thank everybody,” he said. “Not only MTV fans, but the fans across the whole world. Most of all, my family. I couldn’t do it without them and I would never do it without them.”

Sway speaks to Lil Wayne and Birdman on the red carpet of Wayne‘s “Welcome Home Tunechi” party last night.
