Lil Wayne made a surprise appearance at LIV last night (October 30) in Miami, Florida to perform some of his latest singles. You can check out some short footage of Weezy at the club in the video above and view some dope photos after the jump below!
As we know, Lil Wayne was featured on the front cover of VIBE magazine’s October/November issue that is currently on newsstands now. If you haven’t already picked up the magazine, then here are a few more excerpts from Weezy‘s interview that you can read, courtesy of Complex.
On Watch The Throne:
“I haven’t heard the album. I’ll probably never hear the album.”
On Nicki Minaj:
“I’m not satisfied with anything she’s done. I believe she can do a whole lot more, and I believe she will do a whole lot more. It’s not shocking, and it’s not surprising. It’s quite fitting. But other than that, it’s nowhere near the end.”
On dealing with the tabloids:
“You don’t deal with it. You deal with life. You deal with what’s really going on and what’s really real—that’s your four kids, that’s your mother, that’s your family, that’s the people around you. You don’t deal with what people are saying.”
Drake celebrated his 25th birthday at Marquee Club in the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino on October 23rd in Las Vegas, Nevada. Drizzy‘s Young Money boss, Lil Wayne, and his Cash Money boss, Birdman, attended the party and you can see a few photos after the jump below!
Above, Lil Wayne tells MTV that Rebirth II and I Am Not A Human Being II are “not important” right now and then goes on to talk about the upcoming albums from Young Money/Cash Money.
“Drake’s album Take Care is coming November 15, Nicki is about to start working on her next album,” he said before turning to the Female Weezy for an update.
“Stunna coming out; I’m Not a Human Being II and Rebirth II is so not important right now,” Tune said. “We got Twist coming, we got Tyga Tyga coming, and then we have Shanell coming, then we got Bow Wow — that’s what’s really important. What I’m doing is really never important, actually. I’m a very unimportant guy. It’s just me.”
In related YMCMB news, Shanell will drop her new single tomorrow titled “So Good” featuring Weezy and Drake!
Tyler, The Creator recently chopped it up with MTV about meeting Lil Wayne, wanting to give a beat he produced to Weezy, and supporting Tunechi‘s skateboarding.
Tyler has dreams of working with Wayne, but he hasn’t yet built up the courage to tap his manager Christian Clancy to help put the plan in motion. “I actually have this beat that I want him on, but I was too scared to get it to Clancy to get it to them, but Wayne’s cool.”
“I wanted to kinda fan out and shit,” Tyler admitted, “but he gave me a speech about how happy he was that I won a VMA and that seeing my mom go crazy kinda made him feel like he won it too, because that shit was real as fuck.”
While the Goblin rapper and producer was taken aback by Weezy’s props, he was disappointed that he didn’t get to speak his piece and talk about his favorite Weezy mixtape. “He sat there for three minutes giving me a speech, and I’m like, ‘I just wanted to say that Da Drought 3 was my shit,’ and I couldn’t,” Tyler said with disappointment.
“It’s just weird when people from a different world come into our world,” he said. “But then again, he’s just fuckin’ having fun. That’s what people don’t get and shit. He’s learning, and I think it’s cool that he takes the time out of his day to just do some fuckin’ shit that makes him happy for the day. I just wish people would realize shit like that.”
In other news, Lil Wayne has announced that he will be headlining his own shows in Australia while he tours with Eminem later this year in the Outback. Tune will be performing in Perth on November 25th, Adelaide on November 27th and Melbourne on November 29th, as well as his two shows with Eminem on December 1st and 2nd. You will be able to purchase tickets from Ticketek.com.au on November 2nd from 9AM!
