TMZ has obtained Lil Wayne’s food order from last month at Rikers Island. Some of the items on the list include: Kool-Aid, Nacho Cheese Doritos, beef sticks, and 20 envelopes and stamps so he can keep writing letters to his fans, family and friends. Click on the picture above for the full size.

Recently Released Rikers Inmate Talks About Lil Wayne’s Jail Life

I was just reading through the LilWayneHQ forums, and I found a really interesting story posted by DatShyt about a recently released inmate from Rikers Island talking about Weezy’s life in prison. You can read the full story below, and I am sure you will all find it interesting too!

Since I’ve been locked up until now, one of the main things I constantly get asked about is Lil Wayne, who was incarcerated at Rikers Island at the same time I was. During my stay at Rikers Island, I was placed in General Population at the E.M.T.C. (C-76 aka “6 Building”) where all male sentenced inmates are held. I would spend most of my time working, drawing, watching bootleg DVDs, and listening to the radio. Inmates would get paid $10-$25 a week for various jobs around the jail. For a few months of my time I worked; not for the money as much but to help pass the time. My job on the Island was to rinse and scrub pots in the mess hall as well as deliver the dinner food wagons with my friend and fellow inmate Geoff Turbeville to Protective Custody (“P.C.” – 3 Upper), Administrative Segregation (“AdSeg” – 2 Upper), New Admission Cells & C.A.T Cells (Cells for New Inmates and Inmates who had Assaulted Staff -2 & 3 Main), and Mental Observation Dorm (“M.O.” – 1 Main).

Contrary to what was written in most newspapers Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter was housed in Protective Custody Cells. This is where the jail would house some Snitches, Homosexuals, Child Molesters, Incarcerated Cops, former Correctional Officers, and occasionally High-Profile Cases. Basically anyone who would or have had a problem in general population.

These Inmates were not allowed to leave their respective housing areas to go to the mess hall, so we would have bring the meals to them. While doing this I would sometimes see humorous stuff. One time I witnessed an inmate who worked as a pantry worker in 2 & 3 Upper throw a loaf of bread through a food port in the day room at Lil Wayne and yell at him “Welcome to my hood BITCH! Where’s your Cash Money now MOTHER FUCKER!”. Lil Wayne glanced back at the rather large inmate and proceeded to try and ignore him while watching TV. On our runs we would see crazy inmates in the M.O. House get pepper sprayed for fighting in the dorm and all sorts of other wild stuff…

While up in these areas for work I was given this book, which was sent to Lil Wayne. I found the Inscription to be rather interesting to say the least.

Lil Wayne was treated no different by the staff than any other inmate. He didn’t have any laptop or any other special privileges. The only thing that would separate him from the rest was that he had “front gate visits” (visits in private). Where all other inmates would see friends and family in a big gymnasium.

This is the only time he was allowed to leave his housing area, and was the only time (other than when he took methadone for drug withdrawal at the clinic) he would have any type of contact with inmates in general population while walking the halls to his visits. He would always look at the floor and never talk as he was escorted by captains to his visit. He would make all attempts to avoid any type of eye contact with any other inmate.

While locked up I drew Lil Wayne from the Rolling Stone cover he was featured on. I had professional prints sent into the jail to sell and get copies (some of which were later confiscated by Correctional Officers) signed by Weezy for friends and family. I spent days trying to steal a sharpie from various areas around the building. I eventually had to buy one with some commissary soups from a gay inmate who would get sharpies from program offices and use them for lip liner.

At times around the jail you would hear ridiculous stories, lies and rumors about Lil Wayne. Randomly in intake and other parts of the building you would find little stick figure drawings of him behind bars. I would normally ignore most of the ignorant comments and lies that the inmates would say in regards to Lil Wayne. I would sit back and let them talk their bullshit without letting them know I delivered his food and others. My friend and co-worker made that mistake once; he was later asked by Blood Gang Members to send kites (letters from one inmate to another which is against the rules of the jail) to Wayne, asking for money or legal representation for appeals and other open cases. Soon after receiving my drawings of Lil Wayne, I was moved out of my working dorm to a high risk “main” dorm for an unrelated “incident” in the house, consequently I was no longer able to work anymore… – Ether Mul

Sean Garrett Talks Finalizing Deal With Lil Wayne x Order Your No Ceilings & Dedication 3 T-Shirts

After Sean’s upcoming mixtape The Inkwell drops, Garrett will be focusing on the launch of his album. He’s close to finalizing a deal with Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne brought the deal to the table before he went to prison.

“I really got a lot of respect for Wayne,” Sean said. “Wayne embraced me with open arms before he went on a little vacation. He took me on tour with him. He was really open arms about rocking with him. He put me on the pilot seat going on right before him. I got a lot of respect for Cash Money, because it represents where music is going as far as really believing in yourself and not just being in a box. Just creating your own style, your own movement and believing in your team. Cash Money is really family-orientated. I can bring a lot to Cash Money, in reference to what I do, developing their other artists, helping them to travel across the water. They’ve got artists they are trying to break internationally. It’s sort of a win/win situation.”

Sean has been on the road, opening for Gucci Mane, and he said he’s about to go on tour with Cash Money/Young Money family member Drake.

Via MTV, and it looks like Lil Wayne was a big part of Sean Garrett’s deal with Cash Money Records! We can also be expecting the full version to “Girls On Girls” on Sean’s The Inkwell mixtape which is dropping soon, and then hopefully we will get the music video for it.

Below is an exclusive interview LilWayneHQ.com held with Grammy Award Winning producer STREETRUNNER. In the interview STREETRUNNER speaks on how he got into the music industry, working with Lil Wayne, Tha Carter IV, and much more. STREETRUNNER (Real name: Nicholas Warwar) is signed with EMI Music Publishing and is represented by Spliffington Management.

LilWayneHQ.com: Tell us about yourself STREETRUNNER? How long have you been producing for, and what made you get into this career?

STREETRUNNER: I been making beats since 1998. I started out a DJ until I got a EMU sp1200 and then that pretty much ended my DJ career. I rocked on the sp1200 for about a year and then graduated to a akai mpc 2000xl. I landed my first major placement in 2003 with Fat Joe’s Terror Sqaud billboard charting single “Take Me Home”. I later went onto sign with Terror Squad for a year and continued to grind it out and get placements. I have placed tracks on artist albums such as Fat Joe, Juelz Santana, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, LL Cool J, Slaughter House, Birdman, Fabolous and many more.

LWHQ: Name some of the songs you have done for Lil Wayne that we have probably heard, but not know you produced them?

SR: Shit… I got a gang of tracks that leaked during Tha Carter 3 leaks. “Talk It Over”, “1 Night Only”, “Trouble”, “Rapapompom” F/ Junior Reid, “Do It Again”, “Young Money Cash Money” F/ Brisco, “Pray To The Lord”, “1 Arm” F/ Juelz Santana (I Can’t Feel My Face leak), “Yeah” (Rebirth leak) and I’m sure a few that I don’t even know about. I did land “Gossip” on Tha Leak EP and also on the deluxe edition of Tha Carter 3. I produced “Playin With Fire” on Tha Carter 3 and I also co-produced “Ground Zero” with Infamous on “Rebirth”. I got a few tracks on hold for Tha Carter 4 so there is much more to come.

LWHQ: How did you get in contact with Lil Wayne, and have you ever been in the studio with him? What was that experience like if so?

SR: The first time I met Weezy was when I was working on Fat Joe’s album Me, Myself and I. Macho and my dude Safe were chillin’ with me at the Hit Factory parking lot waiting for Joe, and Wayne came out and Macho introduced me. Lucky for me my dude Safe had one of my beat CDs in his car and I was able to pass it to him. Within a hour of passing him the beat CD my manager got a call that Wayne wanted two beats from the CD for Tha Carter 3. Later that night I went up to Weezy’s studio session with Joe and he played us the records he made on my two tracks and Joe went nuts. I was like damn I just passed you this CD… I knew at that point we were going to make a lot of music in the future. The next day I went back to Hit Factory and hit him wit another ten beats. I haven’t stopped hitting him with heat since. I actually worked on one record with Junior Reid and Lil Wayne in the studio. Wayne just circled the room a few times while the beat was playin’ and then jumped in the booth and put his verses down. I also been in the studio several times with him to vibe on tracks or hear new music he’s made on my tracks. He’s real cool and down to earth dude…

LWHQ: You got awarded a GRAMMY for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III album, for a track you produced on there called “Playin’ With Fire”. How did that feel?

SR: That was nuts! I definitely wasn’t thinking Grammy while I was working on the C3 project. It was crazy that the album went platinum in a week to me but when it became a Grammy award winning album, shit got real.

LWHQ: Did you do any work on Weezy’s previous rock album, Rebirth?

SR: I did four records that I know of for Rebirth. A record I co-produced with Infamous called “Ground Zero” made it on the album. I also co-produced another record with Infamous but due to lyrical content it could not be on the that album, but might make a different album. I also co-produced a record with Blackout Movement that never made the album but was a monster, and a record I did solo called “Yeah” that leaked.

LWHQ: Do you have, or are you working on any new projects that we should be looking out for?

SR: I’m working on my first artist on Run The Streets named AdELA. She’s a female R&B/Pop/Hip Hop artist from Miami by way of Africa. The single we are pushing now is titled “Just Feel It” and is featuring Lil Wayne. I also have placements coming out this year on The Game RED album, Twista, Juelz Santana, Fat Joe, Jamie Foxx, Lil Waynes Carter 4 and a few others.

LWHQ: We heard you did a ‘crazy’ track for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV album? Tell us about that… what’s the sound like, could it be a single, features, autotune etc?

SR: I did a really dope joint for the ladies with a soulful sample track that has a feature on the hook. I don’t want to go into to many details about the record cause some internet monster might find it and try to leak it. I got another record that my dude wrote the hook on that almost feels like a Jay Z “What More Can I Say” type track. I think I got 1 other record that’s pending along with those two so I just gotta see what’s up. I will say Weezy is spitting that shit over my tracks and they are 100% Hip Hop.

LWHQ: Have you heard any other material from Tha Carter IV? Or who Wayne has collaborated with on there?

SR: I heard a few joints… It’s definitely what the fans want. He’s just rapping and going hard on it. I think I heard maybe one rocked out track but the majority was rap/Hip Hop tracks. It should be another classic.

LWHQ: Do you know what sound style Wayne has used on the whole album (Tha Carter II, Tha Carter III, Rebirth, soulful, dark etc)?, and you think we will be getting the first single this Summer?

SR: Its a well rounded album… I’m not sure what their plans are for the album as far as releasing singles. I heard they want to try to drop C4 close to his release from prison. All the tracks I heard were going hard. Some soul, some south, some dark and a lil rock…

LWHQ: Lil Wayne has said Tha Carter IV will be released as soon as he gets out of jail… do you think Wayne will re-do the whole album when he gets out, and do you think the album will sell more copies than Tha Carter III did?

SR: I really don’t know how he’s going to feel after serving his sentence. It would definitely be dope if they dropped on the day of or near the day of his release, but that’s my opinion. Wayne and his team are going to do what they wanna do so we all just have to wait and see what happens. As for album sales, what C3 did in its first week was amazing, that might be a one time thing but you never know.

LWHQ: Have you worked with anyone from Young Money Entertainment or Cash Money Records?

SR: I produced a record on the 5 Star Stunna album that Birdman put out the record was called “Grind” F/ Lil Wayne and Brisco. I’ve also done records w Jae Millz and Gudda Gudda that have not released yet

LWHQ: Who would you like to work with from Young Money and Cash Money that you have not worked with so far?

SR: I was tryin’ hard at the top of the year to get a record on Drakes album and came really close but no luck. He’s maybe the main dude would like to produce a record for on a album.

LWHQ: Which other music artists in the game right now would love to collaborate with?

SR: T.I. Is at the top of my list, but also Jay Z and Andre 3000 are right behind him. I also would love to do a record on a Beyonce or Mary J Blige album. I’m on my grind steady though so it’s all very possible.

LWHQ: How do you feel about Lil Wayne’s prison sentence? And do you think the music game is missing him right now?

SR: I feel like they were tryin’ to make a example out of him. So honestly speaking I feel like the prison sentence is bullshit. I know everybody is missing him (fans, friends and family). I definitely miss the dude… He’s motivational for me and my music.

Lil Wayne Laughs At Ex-Wife Toya’s Rapping x More

Rasheeda’s sorority-styled “Bed Rock Remix” featuring Kandi, Diamond, Lola Monroe and Antonia “Toya” Johnson caught many people off guard after its late April release. For one, it was an unlikely adaptation, but more so, the song debuted Lil Wayne’s famed-ex-wife-turned-reality-star, Toya rhyming a decent 16. Expect more where that came from.

“I’mma try it and test it out. A mixtape or album depends on how this one goes by myself,” says Toya. “I always had a little urge to rap, but never really wanted to because sometimes it doesn’t come off lady like. Then of course Wayne is a rapper so I thought people would be like, ‘Oh she’s trying to rap because Wayne rap.’ So I was like let me just play around with something.”

“It’s crazy because now that I did a little bit of that song everybody’s been coming to me like, ‘Oh can we hear something else? Your accent is so cute. You sound so cute rapping.’ I’m like wow.”

As a platinum-selling rapper, Wayne found his ex’s flow a bit more amusing than impressive. “Wayne laughed at me on the “Bed Rock Remix”. That’s what men do. They’re never going to tell you you’re good or to keep going with it. You know their slick side.”

Toya also explains that her and Wayne rarely if ever, discuss music. They’re relationship revolves strictly around shared 11-year-old daughter, Reginae. The newfound rapper cleared the air about reports stating that an mp3 player had been found within Rikers Island, intended for Wayne.

“All of that stuff about MP3s and cell phones… that’s not true. I don’t know where that stuff comes from,” says Toya. “Yes, I did confirm with him. He doesn’t know where any of this is coming from. Wayne doesn’t entertain that. But he’s doing great.” – VIBE

Jay tells us that Lil Wayne is doing good in prison, and someone from Cash Money (Baby or Slim) will go visiting him every week. Jay also says that Weezy will be on his upcoming album along with some Young Money artists, and as soon as Tunechi gets out of prison they will continue working on the Cash Money Heroes supergroup (which conists of Birdman, Kevin Rudolf, Jay Sean and Lil Wayne).

David Banner and producer Deezle sue “The Carter Documentary” maker, QD3:

The latest lawsuit filed in connection to Lil Wayne, comes from none other than David Banner.

The Mississippi MC/producer is suing the maker of the infamous “The Carter” documentary, Quincy Jones III better known as QD3.

According to Courthouse News, Banner, real name Lavell Crump, producer Darius “Deezle” Harrison and The Royalty Network Inc. filed a lawsuit in New York Southern District Court Thursday claiming copyright infringement against Jones.

CN reports that in the lawsuit, QD3 used two of Banner’s songs in the documentary without his permission; “La La” from Tha Carter III and “Pussy Monster”, a track added to Tha Carter III after “Playing With Fire” was removed due to previous litgation.

Courthouse News also reports that named in the lawsuit is Virgil Films and Entertainment, LLC, the distribution company for the documentary. – HotSpotATL

Lil Wayne and producers get sued for Tha Carter III single, “Lollipop”:

Young Money CEO, Lil Wayne has been slapped with yet another lawsuit surrounding his 2008 hit Hip Hop music single “Lollipop“.

Philadelphia rapper Dirahn Gilliams filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Friday April 30th for Work ID: 371875615 which is listed with ASCAP. Gilliams is claiming that the song “Lollipop” was based on his 2007 song “Grindin’ Like a Goon”.

Lil Wayne, producer Darius “Deezle” Harrison, James “Jim Jonsin” Scheffer, Rex Zamor, Cash Money, Young Money and Universal have all been named in the lawsuit.

In April 2007, Gilliams sent out a copy of his song to Flo Rida, Brisco, executive Kevon Glickmon, and producers Deezle and Jim Jonsin claiming Young Money received the copy from one of these entities though Flo Rida and Glickman were not mentioned in the lawsuit.

Gilliams is accusing Wayne and Jim Jonsin for illegally using portions of his song for “Lollipop” in 2008.

Jonsin and Deezle are both suing Lil Wayne as well, making the situation more complicated.

Gilliams is seeking to prevent further sales of Tha Carter III and “Lollipop“, not counting monetary damages, lost profits, actual damages, restitution and compensatory and punitive damages that he is suing for. – HipHopRX

Lil Wayne blogs for the second time from Riker’s Island, and this time Wayne’s letter is about Donovan McNabb going to the Washington Redskins. You can read Weezy’s blog below, and he also tells us his top five NFL Draft picks:

I think this will be a great thing for all involved, except the Eagles. One reason is because I don’t think Andy Reid was ready to part ways with the soon to be 34 year old veteran. He still had a year left on paper with the Eagles, And though I don’t think they would’ve given him an extension, for some reason I think Andy would’ve liked to see Donovan play it out. Although Reid put the word out that he was entertaining offers a few weeks ago to the coaches and GM’s. I don’t think he was the brains behind that move. i think this was above him. Another reason is because of where he eneded up. Why send him to Washington? Now he gets to play the eagles twice. I’m sure he has those days marked already. The other reason is the Eagles don’t have sufficient QB to fufill the role. I mean the 2nd round pick, Kevin Kolb, and Michael Vick doesn’t exactly fit the bill if you ask me. Philly is a hard place to play and an even harder place to play for. My sympathy gees out to Kolb and Vick, who will be expected to do nothing other than win.

Now McNabb is headed to the great QB coaching of Shanahan. This will be great! He’s still a prime QB, despite the fact that he hasn’t played a full season all but once in the last six. He’s a post season shoe in. I’m glad he didn’t end up with the Raiders. He wouldn’t have a shot! I’m calling this the craziest QB trade since Brett to the Vikings.

Congrads to Duke & Coach K, as well as UCONN women and gents. I think both of those guys need new day jobs. More complicated ones. NBA, WNBA!
