“I’ve seen how artists make sure they look and act different when the cameras are around. But The Entourage DVD is all about my friends being themselves—these people just happen to be huge rap stars.” Scoob says about his recent DVD release.

“I think a lot of people may think Wayne is not a strategic person and that he’s just drunk and high all day. That’s not true at all—he’s working harder than everyone around him.” Scoob tells VIBE regarding Lil Wayne’s work ethic. “Weezy will only sit down for 20 minutes out of 15-hour studio session. He just doesn’t stop.”

“I got videos for the Carter IV and the I’m not a Human Being EP all ready. I can’t say the name of the song but Wayne was singing on the hook, but they’re getting Drake to re-do it and it’s off the Human Being EP,” Scoob says. “Carter IV is probably the best album I’ve heard in the last decade, but Wayne is such a different artist now that wants to record new music when he comes home. The stuff he’s talking about now is just on another level. That’s why a lot of the songs on the EP were originally taken from the Carter IV.” – VIBE

Lil Wayne’s, Drake’s and Lil Twist’s manager, Cortez Bryant, speaks on Weezy’s Tha Carter IV album in VIBE Magazine’s latest issue which hits newsstands later this week. Before Lil Wayne went to jail he told me, “When I’m gone, I don’t want my fans to feel like they miss me.” So he gave me Tha Carter IV before he went in- 20-something songs. Gee and I listened to them, but as time went on- I talk to Wayne everyday- it inspired me that he’d been writing inside. So I decided I wanna brand Carter IV as that Wayne the world’s been waiting to hear. It’s now gonna be all fresh-out-of jail material. Tha Carter Brand is so large I wanna make sure we don’t go backwards.

So basically, I think what Wayne’s team are gonna do is put 10 of the songs from what Wayne gave Tez on the I’m Not A Human Being EP (dropping September 27th), and then when Wayne gets out of prison he will re-do all of Tha Carter IV album. We have already heard one song from the EP and we know for a fact that Lil Twist and T-Streets will be featured on there. There are also some rumors going around that a new version of “Told Y’all” and a new version of “I’m Not A Human” will be on the EP along with the “30 Minutes to New Orleans” track (but using a different beat). Drake talks to MTV in the video above about Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV album. Drizzy says Weezy called him the other day from jail to rap him two verses from the album and they were basically just incredible haha. We can’t wait for C4 to drop, but I wonder if Tunechi will re-do the album when he gets out of jail

In the video above, Dow Jones from the hitmaking duo Tha Bizness, speaks on Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV album. Dow says the album will change your life and it’s better than Tha Carter III. He also mentions that No Quitter (Michael Phelps song) was meant for Tha Carter IV and speaks on Tune’s working process.

Great news Wayniacs, Vibe has announced that Lil Wayne will be dropping a new EP on his birthday, September 27. The EP is titled “I’m Not A Human Being” and will feature all new material by Weezy. Wayne’s manager Cortez Bryant told Vibe that the upcoming EP will serve as the prelude for Tha Carter IV. You can read more of what Tez said after the jump as well as Tunechi being featured on Kanye’s “Good Ass Job” album.

“I’m putting out a Wayne album called I’m Not A Human Being and I’ll probably drop it on his birthday, September 27,” says Cortez Bryant, Lil Wayne’s co-manager and Young Money CEO.

According to Bryant, the album will be an EP of all new Wayne material to serve as the Carter IV prelude. Fans are also warned not to expect any marketing and promotion bells and whistles.

“We not about to roll out no three month set up,” says Bryant. “I’m not even putting it out in stores. We just gonna put it out virally and maybe package it up for Christmas. Give ‘em a hard copy later for fan appreciation.”

Lil Wayne Featured On Kanye West’s ‘Good Ass Job’

As if the EP isn’t enough, we have more exciting news. Weezy will be featured on Kanye West’s highly anticipated album “Good Ass Job” along with fellow Young Money artist Drake, Jay-Z, and Eminem. Supposedly three of these artists will be on one song together. Could we be seeing a “Forever” part 2 We will see on September 14th when “Good Ass Job” drops.

Another thing that didn’t fit into the story was that he had reached out to Lil Wayne in jail. He wrote him a letter but he had just sent it a few days before I talked to him. He said he was still in touch with people who were going through the low points in their career like he was years ago and so he reached out to Wayne to sort of let him know he was supporting him. – SOHH

Above is a segment from an interview that MTV2’s Sucker Free held with Drake. In the segment Drizzy speaks about visiting Weezy in Rikers Island and planning a collaboration album when Wayne is released from jail later this year. Weezy has already planned several collaboration albums that have not been released like I Can’t Feel My Face with Juelz Santana and the T-Wayne album He Raps, He Sings. “I went up to Rikers, and me and Wayne agreed that there will be a Lil Wayne/Drake album,” Drake told DJ Envy on MTV2’s “Sucker Free.” “There’s some things I’m excited for in my life — I’m excited to go perform certain places — but this project will probably be one of the most exciting things in my life, because we make music on a different level. It’s just so fun, so comfortable. A whole album? To think about all the things we can do, especially if we’re gonna do 15 songs. Me and him don’t like to do 12, 13 songs. We want to do 15, 16. Yeah, Lil Wayne and Drake album.”

Rasheeda’s sorority-styled “Bed Rock Remix” featuring Kandi, Diamond, Lola Monroe and Antonia “Toya” Johnson caught many people off guard after its late April release. For one, it was an unlikely adaptation, but more so, the song debuted Lil Wayne’s famed-ex-wife-turned-reality-star, Toya rhyming a decent 16. Expect more where that came from.

“I’mma try it and test it out. A mixtape or album depends on how this one goes by myself,” says Toya. “I always had a little urge to rap, but never really wanted to because sometimes it doesn’t come off lady like. Then of course Wayne is a rapper so I thought people would be like, ‘Oh she’s trying to rap because Wayne rap.’ So I was like let me just play around with something.”

“It’s crazy because now that I did a little bit of that song everybody’s been coming to me like, ‘Oh can we hear something else? Your accent is so cute. You sound so cute rapping.’ I’m like wow.”

As a platinum-selling rapper, Wayne found his ex’s flow a bit more amusing than impressive. “Wayne laughed at me on the “Bed Rock Remix”. That’s what men do. They’re never going to tell you you’re good or to keep going with it. You know their slick side.”

Toya also explains that her and Wayne rarely if ever, discuss music. They’re relationship revolves strictly around shared 11-year-old daughter, Reginae. The newfound rapper cleared the air about reports stating that an mp3 player had been found within Rikers Island, intended for Wayne.

“All of that stuff about MP3s and cell phones… that’s not true. I don’t know where that stuff comes from,” says Toya. “Yes, I did confirm with him. He doesn’t know where any of this is coming from. Wayne doesn’t entertain that. But he’s doing great.” – VIBE

Kevin Rudolf’s upcoming album To The Sky will be hitting stores the same day as Drake’s debut album Thank Me Later – June 15th! We have already heard the first single from the album, “I Made It” aka “Cash Money Heroes”, and now I have found out that Weezy’s and Kevin’s collaboration record “Spit In Your Face“, will be featured on his album too. I’m not sure what has gone on with this track, because I thought it was going to be on Wayne’s Rebirth album… so I’m guessing there will be some changes to the final version when it drops!

Baby has taken charge of Young Money, helping them keep their stronghold on the rap music game until Weezy returns from temporary leave. The Cash Money general has plenty of experience running a family business but he says Wayne’s absence has left a void felt by the whole crew.

“It’s a big difference now without Lil Wayne but we doing what we gotta do. He’ll be home in a minute,” Baby told VIBE Saturday (May 1). “You can’t ever replace him. We do as much as we can without him and we just waiting for him to come home.”

Baby was spotted at New Jersey’s Bamboozle Music Festival over the weekend supporting Drake who performed for screaming fans. He says the Toronto native’s debut Thank Me Later, scheduled for June 15, will not disappoint.

“You always gotta say big things are coming from Young Money,” Birdman said from the festival. “All our releases this year – I think Drake’s album is one of the biggest excitements of the year. I think Nicki Minaj’s album is a big excitement of the year.”

Despite the moves Young Mula is making for music domination, Baby says there’s room for other crews to be successful too.

“You know, Dipset came up the same time as us. Cam, Jimmy, that’s my family,” Baby says about Jim Jones and Cam’ron’s recent reunion. “For them to be together, that’s what it do, that’s what’s up. We making music and unity and that’s what I’m about.”

Baby is also all about Weezy and the day they can stunt together again.

“I would probably be one of the happiest men on Earth the day that my son comes home,” Baby says. “That’s the biggest excitement for all of us as Young Money/Cash Money and as our families is the day Wayne come home.”
