Weezy‘s Tha Carter IV album also came #1 on Billboard’s “R&B/Hip Hop Albums” list, as well as getting 3 features in the top 5 on the “R&B/Hip Hop Songs” list (“Motivation” – 2, “Look At Me Now” – 3, and “I’m On One” – 4). Weezy F Baby‘s live performance of “Nightmares Of The Bottom” is up for MTV’s “Best Live Performance” of this year too, along with performances from other music artists including: Jay-Z, Kanye West, Pitbull, Chris Brown, Beyonce, Wiz Khalifa, Odd Future, and more! Mack Maine just released the CDQ/tagless version of one of the first songs him and Lil Wayne recorded called “Ryde 4 Me“. After the jump, MTV interview Tune, Slim and Birdman about their 17th annual Thanks Giving Day turkey giveaway and not caring about Drake’s Take Care album first week sales, because they are “rich as shit”.

“It’s actually been my first time back here for the past eight or nine years and they’ve been doing this for fifteen years,” Wayne explained. “Me just being super busy, always being on tour or something like that. But this is amazing, especially experiencing it now from the point of view of 29-year-old a person with the things that he needs in place.”

“Those times I did it years ago, I was a kid and I was just doing it because Baby said we were giving away turkeys at a park–and that’s what we were doing,” he continued. “Now its a totally different feeling because I can actually give you that and say here, ‘Happy Thanksgiving,’ and I can I can actually provide that for you. That’s a different feeling in general and it’s a beautiful feeling over-all.”

“As far as expectations, we don’t have those around here. Expectations are a weakness in the music business because if you expect anything, 10 times out of 10 it’s not gonna happen, so we don’t have expectations around here,” Lil Wayne told MTV News on Friday when we caught up with him on a trip to New Orleans where, he gave out Thanksgiving Turkeys in his old neighborhood on Saturday.

“What we do expect is… to work very hard and we expect people to respect our hard work and our effort,” Weezy continued. “Now as far going to buy the album, as far as going to get 750,000 copies, that’s never a problem with us; that’s never important to us.”

Earlier, Drake told XXL Magazine that him and Lil Wayne have agreed to scrap their joint project, because it would just be compared to Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne album every time. Drizzy is still planning to do a collabo mixtape with Rick Ross though, so I am sure we will see quite a few YMCMB and MMG collaborations on there!

“Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album,” Drake told XXL. “We just agreed that it would be looked upon as… It would be sort of this competition with Watch The Throne. I feel like it would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. Wayne agreed. We just said, ‘If we do it, we’ll do it down the line. But right now is not the time.’”

In other Weezy news, MTV recently announced that Tunechi and Birdman will be performing “Y.U. Mad” live at the first annual MTV2 Sucker Free Awards in Miami. The show, which will be hosted by Sway Calloway, will air on Sunday, December 4th at 11PM EST at the LIV Fontainebleau in South Beach.

On dealing with the tabloids:
“You don’t deal with it. You deal with life. You deal with what’s really going on and what’s really real—that’s your four kids, that’s your mother, that’s your family, that’s the people around you. You don’t deal with what people are saying.”

According to Billboard, Lil Wayne broke another record last week by being the first music artist to have six No. 1s on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip Hop Radio Airplay chart in one calender year. This is because of Weezy‘s “She Will” single featuring Drake moving from #3 to #1. The other 5 tracks that went #1 this year with Tune in are: “6 Foot, 7 Foot“, “How To Love“, “I’m On One“, “Look At Me Now” and “Motivation“. The previous record holder for this achievement was Usher with four No. 1s in 2004, so a congratulations to Tunechi is in order!

I am also aware that some of the videos from MTV that I have recently posted on LilWayneHQ can not be viewed by users who are not in the US. Well the homie Kuzz has very kindly ripped these videos from MTV and uploaded them to YouTube. This means that users worldwide can now watch them!

“I actually haven’t got a chance to listen to all of it, but I heard a few songs,” Wayne told MTV News while on the set for Birdman’s “Y.U. Mad” video in Miami.

Weezy has never been shy with his “Best Rapper Alive” boasts, but when it comes to Drake and his new album, he plays second fiddle. “I can tell, you know, I don’t know nothing else out there that can touch it, including my stuff. That kid is on another planet,” he said.

It is that approach that Birdman Jr. appreciates and what he feels will ultimately drive Take Care. “To me, I call him a conversational artist, meaning he can make a hit song out of a regular conversation that you would love to have with any woman or anybody, and I think that is his expertise. The songs I heard, he just capitalized on that like crazy.” – MTV

“I just rock with ‘em. Shout out my man Taco that’s my dude,” Weezy F. said of OF and member Taco in particular. “I’m just real cool with the homies. Shouts out Tyler.”

While Wayne is surely busy touring, prepping releases for his Young Money collective and recording for his own I Am Not a Human Being 2, the fiery lyricist plans to catch the group while they are out on the road on there current tour. “I’m gonna catch a few of their shows, go check out a few of their shows and stuff,” he said.

Young Money’s Nicki Minaj announced the nominations earlier today for the 39th Annual American Music Awards! Weezy picked up 3 nods including: “Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Music Artist“, “Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Music Album” and “Artist Of The Year“. The 2011 AMAs will air live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on November 20th at 8PM on ABC. You can view the full list of nominations over on Rap-Up.

In another excerpt from Lil Wayne‘s feature in VIBE Magazine‘s October/November issue, Weezy speaks on possibly doing a collaboration project with Rick Ross.

According to Wayne, a project with Miami rap don Rick Ross is being eyed. For Weezy, who seems to have a real synergy with Ricky as evident by their last bruising tag-team statement “John,” working with the stout rapper has become effortless. “It’s really easy,” Wayne told VIBE. “I just know how to jump in Rick’s zone and I’m sure he does the same when it’s a song with me on it. I guess it’s just some kind of musical connection.”

Wayne, who is also rumored to also be working on a joint album with his platinum Young Money artist and cohort Drake, believes that being able to collaborate with other acts is the true measure of talent. “As an artist, I can get in your world,” explains Wayne. “That’s the beauty of music for me. That’s what it’s all about: just adjusting to where I’m at musically, adjusting to the belly of the beast and making the most of it with other artists.”

This just shows that Tunechi is still working hard in the studio, as we know he is already working on another YMCMB compilation and the I Can’t Feel My Face collabo album with Juelz Santana. Maybe Wayne and Drake will scrap working on a collabo album together and just work on one with Rick Ross This would be dope, because personally I think Tune, Drizzy and Rozay are the hottest 3 rappers in the music game today!

In other Lil Wayne news, we can expect Robin Thicke’s “Pretty Little Heart” single featuring Weezy to drop next week and B.o.B’s “Strange Clouds” single featuring Weezy to drop on October 3rd.

According to Mack Maine, Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana are back working on their collabo album called I Can’t Feel My Face. We were supposed to get the collaboration album years ago, but they kept pushing back on releasing it because of “label politics”.

“The next project he’s working on is I Can’t Feel My Face with Juelz Santana,” Maine told XXLMag.com over the phone. “Elz is talented man. He’s a young legend. Wayne’s back working in the studio. He has that and the Young Money album.”

Mack also told XXL that we would get I Can’t Feel My Face before this year ends, along with another YMCMB compilation. He also mentioned that Weezy will be releasing another two Carter albums (Tha Carter V and Tha Carter VI), as well as a sequel to Rebirth sometime in his music career.
