August Alsina Announces Why I Do It Collaboration With Lil Wayne

August Alsina took to his Instagram page not so long ago to announce that he has a new song called “Why I Do It” featuring Lil Wayne on the way. They previously collaborated on the Kissin’ On My Tattoos” remix.

The New Orleans singer reveals that he will be releasing the collaboration on Friday (August 28th), which is also the same date as the “Lil Weezyana Fest“, so they may even possibly hit the stage to perform it live.

As well as “Why I Do It“, we can also be looking forward to Juicy J’s “Miss Mary Mack” and Curren$y’s “Bottom Of The Bottle” tracks as they both feature Weezy and Alsina too!

Lil Durk took to his Instagram page to announce that Lil Wayne and Fetty Wap will be featured on the official remix to his “Like Me” single, which also features Jeremih.

The OTF founder also hinted about these features appearing on his upcoming mixtape, due to be released on October 19th, on Twitter a week and half ago, so maybe that is the date we will be hearing the collaboration!

Marvel Has Paired SpiderMan With Lil Wayne For Their Hip Hop Variant Artwork Campaign

Marvel are reworking various hip-hop album artworks with some of their superheroes for their huge refresh of their classic comic book titles.

The Editor In Chief of Marvel Comics, Axel Alonso, said that the Marvel and hip-hop relationship makes sense because they are both “really big powerful threads of pop culture”, as well as how over the years he has heard plenty of rappers reference superheroes in their music.

One of the hip-hop album covers that Marvel have paid homage to is Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV artwork. You can check out the variant cover that was created by Gyimah Gariba above, courtesy of The FADER!

The “Feature Friday” installment for this week is Junior Reid‘s “Ghetto Youths Rock” single featuring Lil Wayne.

This track first leaked online in 2007, but it was released officially on iTunes in 2011. Tune also recently worked with Reid on his Free Weezy Album that dropped earlier this month.

“And I know anything could be in that garden; So I wear boots and I stomp on all them. I’m from the zoo, you don’t wanna involve them; I represent the youth then we keep evolving”
