Cash Money Records founders Bryan “Baby” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams have released a statement on Lil Wayne pleading guilty to felony gun possession and promised to continue supporting the rapper.

According to the statement, the duo’s close ties with Wayne will go unchanged in light of the rapper’s specualted one year jail sentence.

“The Cash Money family will continue to support our artist and friend Lil Wayne in his current court case. We have worked with Wayne since he was a teenager, and have seen him grow into one of the world’s most successful hip-hop artists, with a work ethic that is second to none. Wayne has our love and commitment during this difficult time. We always have and always will stand behind him. -Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Baby” Williams, Cash Money Records, Oct. 23, 2009″

R&B singer Amerie recently updated fans on her “Heard ‘Em All” Lil Wayne collaboration and said his “disappearance” from the accompanying music video was partially due to his newborn child with Lauren London.

In addition to the video, Amerie also explained her respect for the self-proclaimed ‘Greatest Rapper Alive’.

“He definitely is [going to appear in the video],” Amerie told interviewer Lola Plaku. “We just have to do that shot, which we’ve been trying to do — and he just had a baby and he has another baby coming soon, we of course don’t know what day is going to be so [sighs] hopefully it goes — no I’m not going to say hopefully it goes down; it is going to go down…Lil Wayne is great. I’ve liked him since he was with Cash Money…I’ve always liked what he does, and I love his energy. For me it was just awesome working with him. Of course I like the stuff that he’s done recently as well, but he’s just really into the artistry. He’s really into being an artist and I think that’s awesome. Because sometimes people are into the life, but not into the art of it.” (SOHH)

The life of a baby maker is hard work, so when Amerie and Lil Wayne linked to shoot her latest video it had to be done in Los Angeles so he could be close to baby mama no. 3, Lauren London. The 24-year-old actress and the rapper welcomed a son Saturday night at Los Angeles’ Cedar Sinai Hospital.

“[When] we were doing the video they were ‘we have to figure it out because nature might take its course,” she told The BoomBox. “We were like ‘lets go to where nature might take its course [Los Angeles] so we can get a pick up shot in case he gets the call.” The video, which was shot earlier this month, is for the single ‘Heard Em All,’ off her upcoming album.

“He’s awesome,” she said of working with Wayne. “He’s always really, really nice. The first time I met him we were doing this event together and we were sitting in the stands. Our handlers were transporting us in the building or something, I just remember thinking ‘he’s really down to earth. He’s really cool.’ I’ve liked him ever since he was in Cash Money, in like ‘97. He’s always had a lot of charisma.”

Amerie is gearing up for the release of her fourth album ‘Love & War,’ her first on Def Jam Records. “[I'm] very excited about [the new album],” she said. “I love my fans [and] I really hope they love this album. I feel like they will if they loved the first one and the second one.”

MediaTakeOut.com just received word that Lil Wayne may have ANOTHER child on the way. A Los Angeles exotic dancer is reportedly telling her co-workers that she’s knocked up by the platinum selling rapper.

The woman, who is of East Indian descent and works at the popular L.A. men’s club Spearmint Rhino, told her co-workers that she just learned of the pregnancy. And that she’s discussed the baby with Lil Wayne – who wants her too keep it.

Whilst Wayne is undoubtedly the face of the Cash Money movement, it is Bryan “Birdman” Williams who is one of the main reasons the label has risen to the prominence it’s at now. Backstage at KS1075’s Back 2 School Jam, Birdman found some time to speak on a variety of subjects.

He spoke on the evolution of Cash Money Records, his new album which will be called Priceless and that will drop in November along with Wayne’s album, Young Money’s album and other albums , Drake’s injury and the new talent signed to CMR including Kevin Rudolf, Jay Sean and Bow Wow.

It was common knowledge that Bow Wow and Columbia Records had run their course as business partners. What wasn’t so known was the destination of his new musical home. In breaking news, hip-hop’s youngest veteran will now be taking his recording services to Cash Money. Moments ago, the protege’ of Jermaine Dupri broke the news, via his Twitter page.

Explaining the reason for his silence, Bow Wow simply stated on his YouTube page he was using the time for thinking and organizing.

“People have been wondering where I’ve been,” the rapper said in a video. “For the past days, I’ve been here, keeping away from all human contact. Thinking. Strategizing my next move. I’ll come out of hiding when it is time. This is a new me. A new look, for now. This is all you see. The mystery continues.”

Cash Money Records will now be looking at a roster touting three of the biggest names, at least commercially, in the industry in Lil Wayne, Drake and Bow Wow.

R&B star, Omarion, signed with partner label, Young Money, recently as well.

Another new Birdman track featuring his son Weezy F Baby! This song is called “South Side“, but unfortunately Wayne’s verse is recycled from his “I’m From The South” song.
