Lil Wayne Addresses Jay-Z Diss On Tha Carter IV Track

Lil Wayne Addresses Jay-Z Diss On Tha Carter IV Track

I’m sure most of you Wayniacs have already heard Lil Wayne‘s “It’s Good” record off his Tha Carter IV album featuring Drake and Jadakiss, but if not, you will be able to listen to it on August 29th when Weezy‘s album will be available in stores. Anyways, on the track (which all of the artists kill by the way), Tunechi disses Jay-Z and Beyonce with these lines:

“Talkin ’bout Baby money? I got your baby money
Kidnap your bitch, get that ‘how much you love your lady’ money
I know you fake nigga, press your brakes nigga
I’ll take you out, that’s a date nigga”

This is because of what Jay-Z said on his “H.A.M.” song with Kanye West about Birdman:

“I’m like really half a billi nigga
Really you got Baby money
Keep it real with niggas
Niggas ain’t got my lady money”

In an interview with VIBE Magazine for their October/November issue, Wayne says he is not worried about any fallout with Jay and that he doesn’t think he will take any action:

Angie Martinez Interviews Lil Wayne

Angie Martinez of Hot 97 just interviewed Lil Wayne for her Angie Martinez Show. They discuss Tune‘s probation, partying too soon after being released from Rikers Island, his four baby mommas, who he thinks is a superstar, wanting his Young Money artists to be better than himself, Tha Carter IV, selling 1 million copies of Tha Carter III, Eric Benet’s Sometimes I Cry song, watching Jersey Shore to see who “would get it”, his favorite albums out right now, Mack Maine giving away his “Did It On ‘Em” beat to Nicki Minaj, and more.

Weezy also says he won’t be having any more kids, he hasn’t listened to Drake or Nicki’s album, has not watched Tiny and Toya’s reality TV show, and C4 will be way better than C3!

Video & Review Of Lil Wayne Performing In London

In the video above, Lil Wayne performs “Let The Beat Build“, “Comfortable“, and “Mrs. Officer” with Shanell at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, UK. You can view some high quality pictures here, and also check out the review MTV did for this tour:

The initial signs weren’t good for Lil Wayne’s London gigs. The rapper has a reputation as much his for drug use, court appearances and unpredictable behaviour as his music.

Then his European tour dates- including three shows at the Hammersmith Apollo- were postponed from July because of an unspecified ‘illness’.

But watching last night MTV forgot the scandals, rumours and arrests as soon as Weezy ran out (wearing Union Jack trainers) to his bass heavy hit A Milli.

It was clear straight away that the dreadlocked MC was on fairly sober form- interacting with the young crowd, laughing, play-acting and constantly running from one side of the stage to the other.

Pretending to play a guitar for a couple of tracks Wayne proved he’s no Jimi Hendrix. But backed by drummer, DJ, guitar, bass and keys the rock tracks from his forthcoming album The Rebirth (including single Prom Queen) sound promising.

Ultimately though it’s Tha Carter III that sets Lil Wayne apart from the pack- and was deservedly the best selling album of 2008 in the US.

Highlights at this show include Tie My Hands- a lament to his home town New Orleans post-hurricane, and flirting anthem Mrs Officer (“My face on a wanted poster/ I’m wanted by every lady cop all over”).

Kanye produced Let The Beat Build is all too brief and though it’s not his smartest lyric the crowd unsurprisingly love Lollipop.

On Mr Carter Wayne lays claim to be one of the greatest -- up there with Biggie, 2Pac and Jay-Z -- and on stage tonight with his odd couplets, twisting flow and smile that glistens across the venue it’s hard to argue.

Talking to the audience near the end of the gig he says: “I’m just me and I love you for loving me London.”

Before of course adding “Young Moolah baby!”

Reminder: BET Awards 2009 Is On Tonight!

BET Awards 2009 Is On Tonight!

Here is a reminder Young Moneyians; the BET Awards 2009 are on tonight at 8PM EST/PST.

Jamie Foxx will be hosting the show and there will be performances from Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown and of course Young Mula Babbbbyyyy. I’m not sure if all of the YM crew will be there, but Gudda and Mack have said on Twitter that they are definitely going to be there.

Drake is another person who will be there, but I am not sure if he is performing on his own or with Young Money or even doing both!

Rumors are Lil Wayne won’t be there, but I am not 100% sure of that, so lets just keep our fingers crossed that he is there tonight.

I also know a lot of tonight’s show will be dedicated towards Michael Jackson.

Don’t forget and enjoy :!: ;)

Edit: It looks like Lil Wayne will be there, because BET have just sent this picture over which can be seen here – http://mypict.me/show.php?id=6gKf. They also say “Young Mooooooollllaaahhhh Baaaaaabbbby! I wonder what HE’LL be doing tonight at the 2009 BET Awards??????”. So, will Weezy really be there and do a surprise performance? – I really hope so :D
