Lil Wayne Picks Up 4 Nominations At The 2015 BET Awards

Earlier today, the nominations for the 2015 BET Awards were announced. Lil Wayne was nominated a total of 3 times, or 4 times if you want to count Young Money‘s nomination in the “Best Group” category.

In the rest of the categories, Weezy was nominated in “Best Collaboration” and “Video Of The Year” for his feature verse on Chris Brown’s “Loyal” single, as well as “Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award” for his feature verse on Nicki Minaj’s “Only” single.

The 2015 BET Awards are going to take place live on Sunday, June 28th from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Click here to see the nominations that Drake and Nicki picked up!

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony recently had a show at the Vogue Theatre in Indianapolis, Indiana. Afterwards, BET caught up with the Cleveland rhymers for an interview about how they feel about getting a lot of love from other rappers in the music game today.

This is then when Krayzie Bone, Wish Bone and Flesh-N-Bone gave “a big shout out to Lil Wayne” for showing them love since day one, as well as called him out to collaborate with them in the studio. Flesh also revealed that he listens to Weezy “so much”!

If you remember a few years back, Lil Wayne was supposed to release a book through Grand Central Publishing called “Gone Till November“, which would include journals that he wrote while locked up behind bars at Rikers Island for 8 months in 2010.

Celebrity gossip website TMZ have managed to obtain a few pages of the memoir, so hopefully it is about to finally be released. TMZ reveal that Weezy discusses feeling proud of himself for making his own dinner, a guy below him yelling “fuck you Weezy” all night, guards coming in his cell to check his nut sack, and more.

One of the main subjects that Tunechi opened up about in his book was that Drake had paid a visit to him to let him know that he had sex with his girl at the time: “Yeah, it’s true. Don’t fuck with her like that cause I did fuck her.”

Lil Wayne and Drake have both been nominated for a Woodie at the 2015 MTVU Woodie Awards, which are taking place next Friday on March 20th. You may also remember that Tune performed at last year’s awards show.

The award that the Young Money rappers are nominated for is a “Next Level Performance Woodie”. This celebrates artists that search for new ways to reach their audience through technology, art, and social media. Check out why they was nominated below:

“In a truly tech-savvy move, Drake and Lil Wayne teamed up on an app for their joint tour that allowed fans in the audience to decide which of the hip-hop heavyweights would perform first.”

We saw Big Sean chat to The Breakfast Club about Lil Wayne‘s verse on his “Deep” song yesterday, and now here is another interview of Sean talking about the verse; this time with MTV. If you haven’t yet heard “Deep“, Weezy gives Sean Don a nice co-sign in his lyrics:
