Here Is An Update On The Sqad Up Reunion Album

Update On The Sqad Up Reunion Album

Remember back to the summer of last year when we received a couple of hints that Sqad Up (Lil Wayne, Dizzy aka Raw D.I., Gudda Gudda, Kidd Kidd, Young Yo, Supa Blanco, and Fee Banks) were all working on a reunion album?

Since then we haven’t had any more updates on a reunion except for Weezy bringing out the original members Dizzy, Kidd, Gudda, and Fee to perform “We Ready“, “Guess Who’s Back?“, and “Best Of Me” at his “Lil Weezyana Fest” in New Orleans.

However, it looks like the Sqad Up reunion album is still being worked on. Thanks to A$AP Retro, who asked Raw D.I. in an Instagram direct message a few days ago if the project is still being worked on, D.I. replied: “We working on doing it fam”.

This means that we can add another collaboration album Tunechi is recording for us fans to the list of ColleGrove with 2 Chainz and an untitled project with Mannie Fresh and Juvenile!

Kidd Kidd Reveals The Biggest Thing He Has Learned From Being Around Lil Wayne [Video]

Kidd Kidd Reveals What The Biggest Thing He Has Learned From Being Around Lil Wayne

Kidd Kidd recently chopped it up with DJ Smallz for a 10-minute interview and at the start of their conversation, Kidd reflected back on the Sqad Up days and who exactly was in the hip-hop group.

Before the conversation ended, the former Young Money affiliate was asked what the biggest thing is that he has learned from being around Lil Wayne. He mentioned that “work” is what he has learned the most from Weezy, as well as that you don’t have to be “better” than your competition, but if you can “outwork” them then you will beat them.

You can watch the full interview after the jump below. Head to the 9:45 mark to go straight to the Tunechi question. If you have not yet heard their latest collaboration, “Ejected“, click here to check it out!
