Ace Hood Chats About Lil Wayne, Says He Is In His Top 5 List Of MCs

Ace Hood recently visited The Combat Jack Show to chat about his relationship with DJ Khaled, leaving We The Best Music, Lil Wayne, his watch breaking at an awards show, and plenty more.

At the 49:25 mark of their interview, Hood revealed Tunechi is one his favorite music artists, he loves and misses Tune (he did say pause after this), and hopes he is in a good place because he can imagine how tough his current situation with Cash Money Records is.

Before the conversation wrapped up, Ace also mentioned Weezy is in his top 5 list of MCs along with Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and Eminem. You can check out their full interview after the jump below!

Lil Wayne Gives An Update On Tha Carter 5, Talks Lil Weezyana Fest, Like A Man, Rapping & More

Like the past two years, Lil Wayne phoned Wild Wayne all the way from Stuttgart, Germany for an interview with New Orleans radio station Q93 to promote his 3rd annual “Lil Weezyana Fest”, which will be taking place next Friday (August 25th).

During their conversation, Tunechi spoke on visiting a dope skate park in Amsterdam, his new Young Money artist Jay Jones, if he ever gets tired of rapping, the “Loyalty” song off In Tune We Trust, Edward Buckles’ tribute documentary on himself, and more.

Weezy also revealed that there will be special guests at this year’s “Lil Weezyana Fest” and Nicki Minaj will be there “if she feels like it”. He event mentioned that “Like A Man” was a song he recorded years ago, but ONHEL re-did the beat, so they decided to put it out.

Of course the interview wouldn’t be complete without Wayne giving an update on his upcoming Tha Carter V album to which he said the project is “ready” and he could release it at any time, but he wants to drop it the right way as us fans deserve that!

Jazz Cartier Says He Is Good For Life After Lil Wayne Co-Sign & Is Working On Getting A Wayne Feature

Just over a year ago, Jazz Cartier released a dope “Lil Wayne” tribute song, which got Wayne‘s attention and made him tweet:

“my new favorite song Lil Wayne by Jazz Cartier prod. By Lantz!!! I f’n luh dat shyt! Preshiate it!! Funny as fk but dope!”

Billboard recently caught up with Jazz for an interview to ask him how he felt about Weezy‘s response to the track and if there will be a collaboration from them in the future.

Cartier mentioned that he doesn’t really need co-signs from celebrities, but the one from Tunechi is the one he “wanted the most” and he is now “good for life” from it. He also revealed that he is working on getting a Tune feature for his upcoming album!

ONHEL Talks Working With Lil Wayne, Like A Man, His Recording Process, President Carter & More

Producer ONHEL recently participated in an interview with PigeonsandPlanes over the phone to talk all about his new collaboration with Lil Wayne called “Like A Man“, how it first leaked, and confirm it is a recent recording from this year.

ONHEL also discussed how he first started working with Tunechi back in 2004, what a studio session is like with Tune, making the transition of being an engineer to a record producer, and what Wayne‘s recording process is like.

The producer even revealed that he has around 50 songs with Weezy, but we have only heard a few of them like “Brown Paper Bag“, “Dinnertime“, “President Carter“, “Glory“, and “Like A Man“. He also mentioned that he believes “President Carter” is the only track on Tha Carter IV that was recorded before jail!
