There Will Be A Lil Wayne & DJ Drama Dedication 4 Mixtape

There Will Be A Lil Wayne & DJ Drama Dedication 4 Mixtape

Tunechi‘s manager, Cortez Bryant, mentioned yesterday that once Wayne gets out of jail, he will most likely release another mixtape of new material for his fans before he releases Tha Carter IV in 2011. Like I guessed, it looks like it will be the fourth installment of Weezy‘s Dedication series. DJ Drama tweeted this yesterday:

“So Mack Maine confirmed last night on Shade 45, there WILL be a Dedication 4…. Stay tuned”.

So we can be looking forward to a Lil Wayne and DJ Drama Dedication 4 mixtape at the end of this year or in 2011 :!:

Also, if you didn’t cop a “I Am Not A Human Being” t-shirt, then you can order one here and you may just get it in time for when Wayne‘s EP album drops.

Lil Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being EP Is Now An Album

Lil Waynes I Am Not A Human Being EP Is Now An Album

Cortez Bryant recently told SPIN that Lil Wayne‘s upcoming I Am Not A Human Being EP will now be a full album. Tez said that the songs on IANAHB were originally going to be on Tha Carter IV, but will be released now so that Weezy can fill C4 with new music instead: “I know once he got out of jail those songs would be so old to him” Bryant explains.

Tez Poe also told SPIN that Wayne has been busy in prison writing down lyrics in a notepad which he will record when he gets out (don’t forget Tunechi hasn’t written anything down since around 2002). Bryant said Wayne will immediately hit the studio once he gets out as well and that he will most likely release another mixtape of new material before releasing Tha Carter IV next year (I’m guessing Dedication 4).

Below, you can read a few highlights from the songs on I Am Not A Human Being which will have heavily auto-tuned vocals, drugged-out beats and loads of guest spots from his YMCMB family:

• “Young Money Salute”, featuring Lil Chuckee, Lil Twist and Nicki Minaj, is a banging, minor-key anthem, with Minaj doling out lines like “Camouflage me ‘cus Young Money is a navy.”

• “I Am Not A Human Being” mixes a heavy boom-bap with distorted guitar riffs–a rock sound similar to the one he tackled on Rebirth.

• “What’s Wrong With Them” crosses choppy synth melodies reminiscent of Wayne’s smash “Lollipop” with Wayne boasting, “Fuck the system and the pussy and all that.”

• “With You”, an R&B-style collaboration with Drake, is a hilarious ballad about seducing a Native-American woman. “Tall glass of Merlot get her in the mode,” he raps. “Two tall glasses of Merlot get her out her robe.”

Lil Wayne Featured On Games Mixtape Brake Lights

Good news Wayniacs, we can now look forward to another Lil Wayne feature. Game recently told MTV that he worked with Wayne before he went to jail for his new mixtape, Brake Lights. These two already collaborated for “Everything Red” from Game‘s last mixtape which we received in April. Do you guys think we could be getting the full version of “Major” from the snippet we received last year :?: You can read exactly what Game said below and share your thoughts in the comments.

Game also revealed that one of his favorite records from Brake Lights is the title track, and he put a few guests in the mix as well. “I did a few collaborations,” the Compton MC said. “I got something I did with Lil Wayne before he left. I got something with Baby. Always gotta have them a part of anything red. Them my dudes. Waka Flocka came through to jump on the mixtape hook. I got some stuff, man.”

Bonus: Birdman gives an update on how Tunechi is doing in jail after the jump!

T.I. Says He’s Reppin’ For Lil Wayne While He’s In Jail

“Well, his daughter and my daughter, they’re real, real close,” Tip explained. “My daughter spends the night with them, his daughter comes to spend the night with us. I told him, ‘Whatever I can do. Whatever it is that’s within my power’ … I know how it is with kids, especially with a period of time like that.

“Even though it may seem like a short time — to the media, it may seem like ‘He got off easy’; to everybody, it may seem like ‘It’s only a couple of months’ — to a child, that’s an eternity,” he continued. “So I’m like, ‘Whatever I can do, it’s all good.’ I just let him know there’s people out here who’s still reppin’ for him, people who will go above and beyond to do whatever needs to be done.” – MTV

Also, be sure to check back later (around 8PM EST) for a new Lil Wayne feature on T.I.‘s upcoming mixtape “Fuck A Mixtape:)

Lil Wayne And Eminem’s “Drop The World” Music Video Is ‘Just Energy’ Director Says x More

Lil Wayne & Eminems Drop The World Music Video Is Just Energy Director Says

Director David Rousseau told MTV News that the Cash Money superstar recorded up to nine videos in one weekend, though most were in front of a green screen so his image could be added later to the finished clips. One video the rapper was on the set for, however, was his upcoming clip with Eminem for “Drop the World“.

The collaboration between the two esteemed MCs is the next single from Wayne‘s Rebirth album. The pair performed a snippet of the track at last month’s Grammy Awards.

Chris Robinson directed the “Drop the World” video and told MTV News on Tuesday (February 23) that the shoot — featuring the two heavyweight MCs — was comparable to a movie set.

“As a director, it’s how do you, more than anything, combine these two artists together and create something that’s special,” he explained. “Because when you have two artists together, it’s like, ‘Oh, they’ll stand next to each other [and that's it].’ It’s very awkward sometimes to have two very big stars. How are you gonna cover that? Especially two artists that are so big. You can do that with a performance at the Grammys, because the spectacle is to watch them onstage and sit in the audience and look at it. But as an artistic piece to have some magic, or if it’s a mood piece or whatever way you communicate the music, you have to take two people into consideration with how you do that. And for me, I almost take it like a feature film: How did Scorsese put Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio in the same movie?”

The clip was filmed on the eve of the Grammys, Robinson said. It was a one-day shoot, and Wayne was on the set for upward of 14 hours. As of press time, no details regarding the premiere are available.

The “Drop the World” video is still being edited, Robinson said. It’s likely the director will complete the final clip by the top of next week.

Robinson wouldn’t reveal the premise of the video, but he promised the clip would match the song’s intensity.

“You got two guys who are basically huge supernovas coming together, and the way that the song is constructed is great,” he said. “Because unless you see it coming, you don’t know Eminem is on the track. The first two hooks and the first two verses are all Wayne, and it’s kind of a surprise when Eminem comes through, and we matched it visually how Eminem enters the piece. From the concept and to just hearing the lyrics, with both of these amazing lyricists killing it, the whole video is just energy.”

Via MTV, and I’m really looking forward to watching this music video, because it was easily one of the best songs on the Rebirth album!

In other news, it looks like The Empire is actually going to go through with releasing The Drought Is Over 7, and Justin Bieber wants to work with Weezy F Baby once he comes out of jail:
