Lil Wayne Breaks Record For Six No. 1s On Mainstream R&B/Hip Hop Chart

Lil Wayne Breaks Record For Six No 1s On Mainstream R&B Hip Hop Chart

According to Billboard, Lil Wayne broke another record last week by being the first music artist to have six No. 1s on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip Hop Radio Airplay chart in one calender year. This is because of Weezy‘s “She Will” single featuring Drake moving from #3 to #1. The other 5 tracks that went #1 this year with Tune in are: “6 Foot, 7 Foot“, “How To Love“, “I’m On One“, “Look At Me Now” and “Motivation“. The previous record holder for this achievement was Usher with four No. 1s in 2004, so a congratulations to Tunechi is in order!

I am also aware that some of the videos from MTV that I have recently posted on LilWayneHQ can not be viewed by users who are not in the US. Well the homie Kuzz has very kindly ripped these videos from MTV and uploaded them to YouTube. This means that users worldwide can now watch them!

Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV Goes Platinum Worldwide First Week x Has 12 Songs On Billboard’s Hot 100

Lil Wayne Tha Carter IV Goes Platinum Worldwide First Week x Has 12 Songs On Billboard Hot 100

Even though Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV album sold just under one million copies in the first week, the album did still go platinum worldwide by selling over 1.03 million! The 964,000 copies Billboard counted are just sales from the US. We already know C4 debuted at #1 on the Billboard chart, but it has also topped the United World Chart too, which is another great accomplishment for Weezy. This album marks Wayne‘s second highest first week sales behind Tha Carter III that sold 1.05 million in 2008.

Tunechi just keeps on winning though, because now Billboard have reported that Tune has 12 songs simultaneously charting on the Billboard Hot 100! Only The Beatles have topped this achievement, having placed 14 songs on the Hot 100 in 1964.

14 – How To Love | 16 – Mirror featuring Bruno Mars | 24 – I’m On One with DJ Khaled featuring Drake and Rick Ross | 26 – Motivation with Kelly Rowland | 33 – Blunt Blowin’ | 40 – She Will featuring Drake | 52 – Megaman | 79 – It’s Good featuring Jadakiss and Drake | 84 – How To Hate featuring T-Pain | 90 – Nightmares Of The Bottom | 94 – President Carter | 95 – So Special featuring John Legend

Lil Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being Goes #1 On Albums Chart

Lil Waynes I Am Not A Human Being Goes 1 On Albums Chart

Two weeks after Lil Wayne’s “I Am Not a Human Being” bowed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 exclusively from download sales, its CD release pushes it to No. 1 in its third chart week. The set moves from No. 16 to No. 1 with 125,000 sold (up 443%), according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It’s the first No. 1 to climb to the top (as opposed to debuting there) since a year ago, when the “Twilight Saga: New Moon” soundtrack moved 2-1 in its second week on the list. (Most albums that hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 tend to do so by debuting there.)

“I Am Not a Human Being’s” 16-1 jump on the chart is the largest leap to the top since the chart dated Jan. 19, 2008, when Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” zipped 156-1. It debuted a week early on the list because retailers began selling it before its official street date. – Billboard

Congratulations to Tunechi for getting top of the charts :!:

Lil Wayne Doc The Carter Shoots To Number 1 On iTunes

A controversial new documentary about superstar rapper Lil Wayne has shot to the top of the iTunes movie charts.

QD3 Entertainment’s film The Carter is currently the No. 1 selling documentary on iTunes in the U.S.

In addition to landing the top slot on Apple’s iTunes U.S.’ music store, The Carter is also in the Top 10 on the Canadian iTunes music store alongside such blockbusters as Bruno and GI Joe.

“Having our Lil Wayne The Carter documentary place in the Top 10 on both U.S. and Canadian iTunes store within the first 48 hours, competing neck and neck with multi-million dollar studio films such as Bruno and GI Joe during Christmas season is quite a feat for a self distributed indie doc and beyond our expectations,” QD3 Entertainment CEO Quincy Jones III told AllHipHop.com. “We are very excited about continuing to innovate within the digital space.”

Via AllHipHop, and don’t forget that if you have ordered your copy from TheCarterDoc.com, your order will be shipped on the first week of December.
