While serving time behind bars at Rikers Island this year, Lil Wayne gave an electric wheelchair to the mother of one of his fans. This shows just how much of a nice guy Weezy really is, and I’ll tell you now that not many artists would of done something like this. When you hear the Southwest Airlines tagline “You’re now free to move about the country” the one time that you could really appreciate it, is if you were to loose that freedom.

Stricken with failed knees, and an ill-fitted wheelchair that set her up for a horrible fall from a church ramp, Evelyn Austin, had become a prisoner in her Williamstown, Nj home, confined to her bed for almost 2 years.

I came to know about Evelyn through a series of letters that her Daughter Ronda Austin had written me while I was incarcerated.

MTV aired a new show today titled “The Seven” and Lil Wayne called in to speak on his I Am Not A Human Being album, fan mail and what the first thing he wants to do when he is released from prison is. After the jump, you can watch Drake speak with Weezy on the same show which was a surprise to him. It’s good to hear Wayne jokin’ around with Drizzy, FREE WEEZY Props YAF.

The two spoke about Weezy‘s fans and WeezyThanxYou.com, the artists he would like to work with when he is released, his daily routine, his love for sports, Eminem, Drake, Nicki Minaj, how he plans to change when he is released in November, the I’m Not A Human Being EP, and much more. Drake talks to MTV in the video above about Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV album. Drizzy says Weezy called him the other day from jail to rap him two verses from the album and they were basically just incredible haha. We can’t wait for C4 to drop, but I wonder if Tunechi will re-do the album when he gets out of jail

It’s just over three months until Lil Wayne is released from Rikers Island! But until then, Weezy gives us an update in his latest letter from jail on how he is doing, his daily routine, writing lyrics, his Young Money family and more. You can read Tune‘s letter below:

Hello world… I’m good. Counting the days and still smiling. Most of those smiles come from hearing my kids’ voices over the phone. The others come from reading fan mail. Let me just say that I have the best fans in the world! The devotion, dedication, support, love, and most of all, prayers are simply the best. I never imagined that I could have such an impact on people’s lives. Because of this, I vow to be a bit more careful of what I say.

So I’ve been writing and let me be the first to tell you that the lyrics that I’m writing are… well there’s no word that I can think of that properly defines them. Amazing would be too typical and perfect would be unfair. I listen to the radio sometimes, emphasis on sometimes, and I hear the new music. I like some. I applaud my Young Money family for what they’re doing. As I’m not surprised. This is what we’re supposed to do. Congrats to Drake and Nicki for all their recent success. Those 2 are going to have me retiring early. I love my team. Much love to Tez and Mack. I know that people are inquisitive of what I do all day, so here goes. I wake up around 11AM. Have some coffee. Call my kids, and my wonderful mother. I then shower up. Read fan mail. Have lunch. Back on the phone. Read a book or write some thoughts down. Have dinner. Phone. Pushups. Then I listen to ESPN on the radio. Read the bible, then sleep. That’s my day.

I’ll end this letter, but never my love. I’m gone. Oh, and how ‘bout dem Lakers!?!
