Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV Album Pushed Back

Lil Waynes Tha Carter IV Album Pushed Back

Universal just set a new release date for Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV album, which is now August 29th, and not June 21st. I think we all knew that this was going to happen, because we had no tracklist or real promotion for the album with less than 20 days til it was supposed to be released. Anyways, this should give Tunechi enough time to get the “How To Love” music video out and start promoting the album more!

Shouts to YHTN.

Mack Maine Speaks On Tha Carter IV Push Back, The Cover & More

In the video above, Mack Maine speaks on Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV album cover, the reason why C4 was pushed back, and says Weezy has a “monster” single coming soon with a major group… but Mack would not tell us who the group is.

“It’s more along the lines of a ‘Lollipop,’ ” Mack told MTV News. “People call them crossover records and all of that, but it will be just one of those records that will be liked by the masses.”

While Mack wouldn’t reveal who the guest feature will be on the untitled single, he did say that he expects the news to be leaked prior to the song’s release. The YM prez also spoke on the decision to push back the album.

“He’s still perfecting a few things, he’s a perfectionist … changing a few lines,” Mack Maine said of Wayne’s recording process. “We also have a huge record that wasn’t done yet. We’re in L.A. right now. We have a little studio time and it should be done probably by Monday.” – MTV

Lil Wayne Isn’t Going To Jail Until Monday 8th March!

Lil Wayne Isnt Going To Jail Until Monday 8th March

Lil Wayne was supposed to be in jail today after there being a fire at Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday… but it looks like he will have five more days of freedom after the judge has decided to push back Wayne‘s sentence once again. The reason for this is because the officials have asked for more time to repair the damage from the fire in the Manhattan Lower Courthouse. Weezy is set to appear in court on Monday 8th March, unless another issue occurs.

Do y’all think Tunechi is enjoying his free time, or do you think he just wants to get it over and done with :?: And I wonder if Wayne will be shooting any more music videos while he is free, and having another farewell party :?:

Lil Wayne‘s upcoming rock album, Rebirth which was meant to be dropping in eleven days has been pushed back to February 2010. You can see Birdman’s tweet above were he says the album is coming February 1st, but Cortez Bryant (Lil Wayne’s manager) told us (LilWayneHQ.com) that the album is dropping February 2nd.

I thought that this pushback might have something to do with Weezy going to prison in February, but Cortez told us it’s because they want to get the single out. The official statement will be coming tonight, and We Are Young Money is still dropping December 21st.

Lil Wayne’s Rebirth Album Gets A New Release Date

Lil Waynes Rebirth Album Gets A New Release Date

We can’t say we didn’t see it coming. Lil Wayne’s Rebirth has suffered yet another setback.

The Cash Money rapper’s often-delayed album will make the perfect stocking stuffer when it arrives on its new release date of December 15, Rap-Up.com has learned. It is now scheduled to drop 10 days prior to Christmas, during what are typically the busiest shopping weeks of the year.

Rebirth was previously slated for a November 24 release. Two tracks were commercially released from the project earlier this year, “Prom Queen” and “Hot Revolver”.

Fingers crossed this is the last push back.
