Lil Waynes She Will Debuts On Hot 100 x Cortez Bryant & Birdman Speak On Tha Carter 4

Lil Wayne‘s latest single off his Tha Carter IV album featuring Drake, “She Will“, has debuted at #3 on Billboard‘s Hot 100! This is Weezy‘s highest-ever opening rank on the chart, and it also marks Wayne‘s top 10 Hot 100 debut, pushing him past other male artists such as: Eminem and Kanye West. “She Will” is the fourth entry on the Hot 100 chart from Tune‘s C4 album too, as “6 Foot, 7 Foot” featuring Cory Gunz reached #9, “John” featuring Rick Ross reached #22, and “How To Love” reached #5.

Hit the jump to read who CMB are about to sign next to their label, and what Cortez Bryant (Wayne’s manager) and Birdman said to Rolling Stone on August 24h about how they have stopped Tunechi‘s Tha Carter IV album leaking so early like Tha Carter III did back in 2008.

Lil Wayne Talks About SNL Performance & Upcoming Rolling Stone Cover

Lil Wayne Talks About SNL Performance & Upcoming Rolling Stone Cover

Tunechi left a message earlier on WTY talking about his performance on Saturday Night Live and his upcoming Rolling Stone cover. Weezy also thanks us the fans for making his C4 single, “6 Foot, 7 Foot“, #1 on the iTunes charts.

Hello World & Fellow Martians! I hope you enjoyed my Saturday Night Live performance. I can’t describe what it felt like being back in my element. I wanted to share some behind the scenes photos from my Rolling Stone photo shoot. The shoot was in Miami two weeks ago and just being able to do this type of stuff again is therapeutic. Be sure to pick up the issue when it hits stands. Thank you to the people at Rolling Stone for the opportunity.

PS: Thank you for making 6 foot 7 foot #1 on itunes, you will continue to be #1 in my heart.

In other news, we can be looking forward to Lil Wayne and his Young Money fam performing at BET’s 106 & Park New Year’s Eve Special, and being featured on Chris Brown’s upcoming “Look At Me Now” single, also featuring Busta Rhymes.

Lil Wayne Covers Rolling Stone Magazine

Lil Wayne Covers Rolling Stone Magazine

For a decade, Lil Wayne has been hip-hop’s great unstoppable force, a 24-hour-a-day recording machine without an off button. But on February 9th, Lil Wayne will have to stop — for 12 months, when he reports to prison to serve a sentence for gun possession stemming from a 2007 arrest in New York City. Rolling Stone stays up all night with Weezy as he prepares to get locked down in our new issue, which is on sale at newsstands today.

“I don’t like to stop,” Wayne tells RS‘ Chris Norris. “I believe you stop when you die.” So in the weeks before he reports to Rikers Island, Wayne is keeping busy — recording tracks bound for Tha Carter IV (the album Cash Money staffers call “C4″ because it’ll be the bomb), shooting videos with his Young Money protégés, spending time with his growing family, and deliberately not asking anyone for advice about life on the inside. “This is Lil Wayne going to jail. Nobody I can talk to can tell me what that’s like,” he says. “I just say I’m looking forward to it.”

While Weezy’s away, his label is relocating to New York to be near him, and his manager Cortez Bryant is exploring ways to keep Wayne in his fans’ minds for the duration — from jailhouse Twitter accounts to endorsements. “I’ll have an iPod, and I”ll make sure they keep sending me beats,” Lil Wayne says. Tha Carter IV — which Norris is told features tougher, faster beats — is scheduled to arrive shortly after he gets out.

Read the full story in the new issue for Wayne’s comments on giving up drank, growing older and fearing God, plus a close-up look at one of his intense late-night recording sessions.

Source: Rolling Stone, and it looks like we will be getting Tha Carter IV shortly after Lil Wayne gets out from prison. I also like how Weezy will be using using Twitter from jail (if that’s what they mean).

Lil Wayne – Fuck Today (Feat Gudda Gudda)

Lil Wayne Fuck Today Feat Gudda Gudda

Not only was Lil Wayne‘s rock album, Rebirth, released today, but a new song was released as well. This song is called “Fuck Today” and features Gudda Gudda. The song is supposedly a leftover from the album. It was mentioned before by Rolling Stone that this song was supposed to make the final cut of the album. It didn’t make the final cut but thankfully saw the light of day. Download the song below and let us know what you think in the comment section. Enjoy! ;)
