Lil Wayne Tells The Story Of Stevie Wonder Telling Him To Shut Up & More [Video]

It’s been a good while since we have seen one of these type of interviews with Lil Wayne! While at the SPECTRE by SUPRA launch party in Miami last week, Mass Appeal asked Weezy F Baby plenty of questions for the latest episode of thier “Off Tha’ Wall” series.

Tunechi answered why he decided to start rapping, what memories he had from the Hot Boys days, how he got the nickname “Shrimp Daddy”, what it is like being a rap star, why he decided to start skateboarding, what his favorite SPECTRE by SUPRA model is, how he came up with the name TRUKFIT, what his favorite sports movie is, what the most unexpected song on his iPod is, his guilty pleasures, what his pet peeves are, what he hid from his mother growing up, if there are any quotes that he lives by, what is next for him, and what his last meal would be.

Mass Appeal also asked Wayne who he prefers out of Martin or the Fresh Prince, Michael Jackson or Prince, and Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder. This is then when Tune tells the story of Stevie once telling him to shut up at a party.

Lil Wayne Discusses Time Spent In Prison, Sandy Hook Shootings & More On Jim Rome’s TV Show

In the video above, you can watch Lil Wayne‘s full interview with Jim Rome that took place on Jim‘s sports talk show a few days ago on Showtime. Weezy F Baby talked about his time locked up behind bars in Rikers Island back in 2010, Los Angeles Lakers, how he became a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Shaquille O’Neal’s rapping skills, the Lane Kiffin line he rapped on No Ceilings: “smoke weed, talk shit like Lane Kiffin”, problems with today’s NFL games, skateboarding, and more.

At the end of the interview, Tune also started to get a little bit emotional when making sure everyone knew that if there was anything he could ever change in his life, it would be going to jail for gun possession, and the horrible Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings that took place last week.

SUPRA Releases “S1W” Sneakers By Lil Wayne & Stevie Williams

SUPRA have just released their new footwear called “S1W“, which is a collaboration shoe from Stevie Williams and Lil Wayne. In the video above, Weezy F Baby speaks on his new sneakers, how it feels to be involved in a shoe with Stevie Williams, and goes skating at a skate park with the SUPRA team.

“I asked Wayne if he wanted to do a colorway with my shoe and he said he was up for it. Just supporting Wayne skateboarding, and having his name on my shoe, it just shows how big this skateboarding thing is. I’m excited about it.” – Stevie Williams

“It’s dope, it’s super dope. Stevie’s a legend, so to even be involved in anything Stevie’s doing is crazy, man—and then to be part of his shoe? Come on, man.” – Lil Wayne

The high-performance S1W mid top is lavishly constructed with red pig suede and red full-grain leather. The shoe has custom “PRESIDENT” (left) and “CARTER” (right) sock liners, white accents, padded red mesh lining and tongue, and it’s built atop a white, lightweight, cored-out sole that features a new SUPRAFOAM footbed with impact technology.

Hit the jump to check out some photos of the “S1W” sneakers. If you want to purchase a pair of them, you can do so from the SUPRA website here. I’ve already placed my order!
