Tunechi left a message earlier on WTY talking about his performance on Saturday Night Live and his upcoming Rolling Stone cover. Weezy also thanks us the fans for making his C4 single, “6 Foot, 7 Foot“, #1 on the iTunes charts.
Hello World & Fellow Martians! I hope you enjoyed my Saturday Night Live performance. I can’t describe what it felt like being back in my element. I wanted to share some behind the scenes photos from my Rolling Stone photo shoot. The shoot was in Miami two weeks ago and just being able to do this type of stuff again is therapeutic. Be sure to pick up the issue when it hits stands. Thank you to the people at Rolling Stone for the opportunity.
PS: Thank you for making 6 foot 7 foot #1 on itunes, you will continue to be #1 in my heart.
In other news, we can be looking forward to Lil Wayne and his Young Money fam performing at BET’s 106 & Park New Year’s Eve Special, and being featured on Chris Brown’s upcoming “Look At Me Now” single, also featuring Busta Rhymes.
Lil Wayne and Eminem both performed on Saturday Night Live last night. In the video above, you can watch Weezy and Em perform “No Love“, and after the jump you can watch Shady perform “Won’t Back Down” and Tunechi perform “Six Foot, Seven Foot“. All of these three performances are dope!
While serving time behind bars at Rikers Island this year, Lil Wayne gave an electric wheelchair to the mother of one of his fans. This shows just how much of a nice guy Weezy really is, and I’ll tell you now that not many artists would of done something like this. You can get more information about this story by watching the video above, and you can read what Tunechi said on WTY below:
When you hear the Southwest Airlines tagline “You’re now free to move about the country” the one time that you could really appreciate it, is if you were to loose that freedom.
Stricken with failed knees, and an ill-fitted wheelchair that set her up for a horrible fall from a church ramp, Evelyn Austin, had become a prisoner in her Williamstown, Nj home, confined to her bed for almost 2 years.
I came to know about Evelyn through a series of letters that her Daughter Ronda Austin had written me while I was incarcerated.
This is their story. God Bless Austin Family
Hit the jump to view a photo of Wayne and Eminem rehearsing “No Love” on the Saturday Night Live stage earlier today. The full performance will air on TV this Saturday, and Tune is supposedly going to perform “Six Foot, Seven Foot” too. This is going to be a must watch!
Lil Wayne rang up DJ Drama and Karen Civil earlier today on Shade 45 for his first post-jail interview since coming home from Rikers last month. They discuss about Tha Carter IV which Weezy says will come in February, a new member signing to Young Money, where he thinks he is at right now lyrically, upcoming shows, Ja Rule going to jail, Miami Heat, doing a cover and interview for Rolling Stone magazine, and Dedication 4! Tunechi also says we will be getting the first single from C4, “6’7″” this week and that he is in the process of going over the video treatment for it right now with Hype Williams.
So who do you think the new YM artist will be ❓ I’m thinking it will be someone like Tity Boi or Chris Brown.
Later this year on December 18th, Lil Wayne will make his first appearance on TV since being released from Rikers Island two weeks ago. He will join Eminem on Saturday Night Live to perform their collabo single “No Love“. Diddy-Dirty Money will also be performing on the show, and Weezy previously performed “Lollipop” and “Got Money” with Mack Maine on SNL in 2009.
Below, you can view a few more photos of Lil Wayne with his YMCMB family at his “Welcome Home” party 10 days ago at King Of Diamonds in Miami. You can also check out a video of other music artists welcoming Tune home on the red carpet, courtesy of DG.
