Lil Wayne Will Release A Book This Year About His Time In Prison

On November 28th this year, Lil Wayne will release a memoir titled “Gone Till November” through Grand Central Publishing (a division of Hachette Book Group). The book will detail Weezy‘s experience in jail and show the diaries that Wayne wrote while locked up behind bars in 2010 for 8 months. Also included in the journals will be Tune‘s thoughts and feelings, the people he met, his plans, his family, his children, his past and his future.

“We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne’s prison memoir,” said Ben Greenberg, executive editor at Grand Central Publishing. “He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing.”

Video: Lil Wayne Gives The Gift Of Freedom x Photo: Tune & Eminem SNL Rehearsal Pic

While serving time behind bars at Rikers Island this year, Lil Wayne gave an electric wheelchair to the mother of one of his fans. This shows just how much of a nice guy Weezy really is, and I’ll tell you now that not many artists would of done something like this. You can get more information about this story by watching the video above, and you can read what Tunechi said on WTY below:

When you hear the Southwest Airlines tagline “You’re now free to move about the country” the one time that you could really appreciate it, is if you were to loose that freedom.

Stricken with failed knees, and an ill-fitted wheelchair that set her up for a horrible fall from a church ramp, Evelyn Austin, had become a prisoner in her Williamstown, Nj home, confined to her bed for almost 2 years.

I came to know about Evelyn through a series of letters that her Daughter Ronda Austin had written me while I was incarcerated.

This is their story. God Bless Austin Family

-Tune

Hit the jump to view a photo of Wayne and Eminem rehearsing “No Love” on the Saturday Night Live stage earlier today. The full performance will air on TV this Saturday, and Tune is supposedly going to perform “Six Foot, Seven Foot” too. This is going to be a must watch!

Lil Wayne Makes Front Cover On Hip Hop Weekly Magazine

Lil Wayne covers the front cover of Hip Hop Weekly in their new issue. Check out what Birdman, Wayne’s lawyer Stacy Richman, and a retired NYPD officer are saying about the case below:

“This had nothing to do with DNA at all, because the DNA prospects that they were trying to put on this case had very little to do with the facts of the case itself.” – Lil Wayne’s attorney explaining clarifying why her client copped a plea in his N.Y. gun case.

“We won’t miss a beat. We work hard and work a lot, so it ain’t nothin’.” – Cash Money CEO Baby commenting on how Weezy’s incarceration will affect their business.

“They wanted Wayne. The guy was on stage at the Beacon talking bad about cops who were ten feet from him. What did he expect to happen when he left?” – Retired NYPD officer who spoke anonymously on the Lil Wayne case.
