Tonight’s Lil’ Wayne concert at GM Place has been cancelled at the last minute.

“The Lil’ Wayne show has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond Live Nation’s control,” the promoter said in a news release on Monday afternoon.

The American rapper last performed in Vancouver in January.

His Edmonton show, scheduled for Aug. 18, has also reportedly been cancelled.

Rumours are flying that rapper got caught up at the Canadian border, but this is purely speculation at this point.

This isn’t the first time Lil’ Wayne has had to cancel a concert in Canada. On June 29, 2008, it was announced that his show at Circa in Toronto and a scheduled appearance in Montreal were cancelled “due to unknown circumstances.”

Apparently Lil Wayne owns an automatic bb gun, and wanted to fire it at Mack Maine, but couldn’t as there was a lot of fans around.

She met Lil Wayne on the tour bus after his performance in Scranton and said he wore the vest for the duration of time she was on the tour bus which was a little over an hour. You can see from the picture that Wayne was wearing a bulletproof vest and even some goggles on his head. She also mentioned that his BB gun looks like a machine gun and the reason why he was wearing the vest was because he was plotting to target Young Money‘s Mack Maine again

Hip-Hop star Lil Wayne has hired a former FBI geneticist in his attempt to avoid being prosecuted in New York on a gun charge.

The rapper has enlisted Bruce Budowle to challenge DNA results linking Lil Wayne to a .40 Caliber handgun found on his tour bus following a performance with Ja Rule at The Beacon Theater in New York in July of 2007.

According to The New York Post, Budowle will argue that Manhattan prosecutors used an unreliable testing method in their attempt to link Lil Wayne’s DNA to the gun.

Budowle testified on behalf of prosecutors in the murder trial of Scott Peterson, who was convicted of killing his wife Laci Peterson.

Defense lawyers for Lil Wayne have dismissed the arresting officer’s allegation that she smelled marijuana emanating from the bus, resulting in the search which uncovered the gun.

Lil Wayne’s lawyers also maintain is a legal firearm registered to his manager, Cortez Bryant.

Lil Wayne has pleaded not guilty to two felony charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

If convicted, he faces up to three and half years in prison under recently passed New York gun laws.

Lil Wayne appeared in an Arizona court on drug possession and weapons charges earlier today.

His attorney says he told the Yuma County Superior Court judge that the U.S. Border Patrol hasn’t turned over records the defense requested months ago. The judge set another court date for Aug. 11.

Wayne was arrested at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate 8 east of Yuma in January 2008 after authorities said they found cocaine, Ecstasy and a handgun on his tour bus.

He faces one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs and weapons misconduct.

Weezy previously pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Rapper Lil Wayne is expected to appear in a Yuma court for a hearing related to drug possession and weapons charges.

An attorney for Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, says the rapper will be at Yuma County Superior Court on Tuesday morning for a status conference.

In January 2008, Carter was arrested at a border checkpoint 78 miles east of Yuma after authorities found cocaine, Ecstasy and a handgun on his tour bus.

He faces one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs and weapons misconduct.

Carter previously pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Lets just hope that everything goes well for Wayne today
