Royce Da 59 Says Lil Wayne Is A Top 5 Rapper Alive

On Sunday, Royce Da 5’9″ took part in a Q&A on his Twitter page. One of the questions that Royce was asked was who does he think are the top five best rappers alive today. He answered Lil Wayne, Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, and Pusha T.

“Em Jay Wayne Nas and Push RT @DomChirico80: @Royceda59 top 5 rappers alive”

This is not the first time that Royce Da 5’9″ has complimented Weezy F Baby; he previously mentioned it on Slaughterhouse’s “Our House” song by rapping: “You listening to hip-hop; you in Jay house, Wayne house; Nas house, Em house, our house”.

Lil Wayne Attends The 2014 ESPY Awards With Christina Milian To Watch Stuart Scott Receive The Jimmy V Award

A couple of nights ago, the 2014 ESPY awards took place in Los Angeles, California. Lil Wayne attended the sports awards show with Christina Milian, who were holding hands with each other, and Mack Maine.

Even though he was probably there to support Drake a little bit too, Weezy F Baby tweeted that he only attended the ESPYs to watch ESPN anchor Stuart Scott get honored with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award in person after he lost someone close to him because of cancer.

“I only went to see Stuart get the Jimmy V award and I did and it was very fitting. Lost my 2nd mom to cancer this yr & I miss her…fight!”

The 2014 NFL Draft recently took place and two players that were chosen walked out on stage with Lil Wayne songs playing.

One of these college football players was Odell Beckham Jr.; he picked “Ride For My Niggas” off Da Drought 3, and the other college football player who chose a Tune song was Bradley Roby, who picked the new single “Believe Me“.

Weezy F Baby also went on Twitter to congratulate Odell Beckham Jr. and Ha’Sean “Ha Ha” Clinton-Dix for getting chosen in this year’s NFL Draft:

“Kongrats to da homie Odell Beckham Jr. Do ya thang boi!”

“Good to have u in dat Green and Yellow Ha Ha!! Turnup”

I guess you can say that this is more great promo for Tha Carter V, courtesy of more talented athletes (Kobe Bryant and Floyd Mayweather recently kicked off C5 Season)!

Lil Wayne recently had a studio session with Odd Future members Hodgy Beats and Left Brain, who are better known by their group name MellowHype. There is no word just yet on what project they were working on in the recording booth, but it’s possible that it could of been Tha Carter V.

In related news, producer Mike WiLL Made It also confirmed on Twitter that he is working with Weezy F Baby on his upcoming Tha Carter V album:
