To celebrate the upcoming Tha Carter VI album, Lil Wayne teams up with Mannie Fresh and Raj Smoove for a new megamix.
Titled The Mix Before Tha VI, this 23-song release dropped exclusively on Apple Music today. It includes both unreleased music and reworked records from Weezy.
Here’s a breakdown of the four main updates on the collaboration project, highlighted by longtime LilWayneHQ member Mnjaro:
- Track 1 (“ID1”) – “No More”: Originally recorded for Tha Carter V, but reworked for Carter 6.
- Track 2 (“ID2”) – “Your Love”: Samples The Outfield, and is a complete new take on Wayne and 2 Chainz’s “Everyday Drug Music”.
- Track 9 (“ID6”): An entirely new version of “F*ck That N*gga”.
- Track 14 (“ID7”): A Sqad Up-era freestyle over Charles Bradley and Menahan Street Band’s “Where Do We Go From Here”.
