Mannie Fresh recently joined Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson virtually for an episode of their show, “Nightcap“.
At the 4:40 mark, the hosts asked Mannie when he first realized the “youngest and smallest one”, Lil Wayne, would become one of the greats.
He explained that Wayne was always the first to show up at the studio and the last one to leave.
Fresh also recalled how Weezy‘s mother, Jacida Carter, would pull him from Cash Money Records if his school grades dropped.
Later, the Cash Money DJ/producer/artist talked about Tunechi coining the phrase “bling bling” and how big it became.
He also shared his five favorite beats of all time, which include: “Go DJ“, “Get Your Roll On“, “Top Back“, “400 Degreez“, and “Back That Azz Up“.
