A couple of months ago, Machine Gun Kelly spoke with Lauren-Ashley Beck and Kyle Denis from Billboard during the 2025 BET Awards.
On the red carpet, MGK shared what it meant to be featured on Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter VI album.
He called the opportunity a “dream” and praised Tha Carter series as the greatest rap saga of all time.
MGK explained he was just 14 years old when the first Tha Carter project dropped and described it as “life”.
“That [Tha Carter album series] to me is arguably the best rap saga that exists… I think I was 14 when Tha Carter came out and that was life… all Carters, it’s life.”
The Cleveland artist also discussed their collaboration, explaining where the lyric “Alone In The Studio With My Gun” came from.
He revealed he originally sent the Mod Sun-produced track to Weezy two years ago before it officially landed on C6.
