B.G. appeared as a special guest on Power 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club yesterday with DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Jess Hilarious.
At the 4:00 mark, Charlamagne asked B.G. why Lil Wayne was not present at the Cash Money Records vs. No Limit Verzuz battle in Las Vegas on October 25th.
“I talked to Wayne yesterday and the morning before the Verzuz,” Baby Gangsta said. “Shorty wasn’t feeling good. He had a show at Drai’s the same night and canceled that too.”
The Hot Boys rapper went on to say Swizz Beatz felt “hurt”, because he approved the event mainly due to Weezy‘s involvement.
“He definitely was supposed to be there,” B.G. added. “He told me he wasn’t feeling good and had to go to the hospital.”
When asked if Mr. Carter will appear on the upcoming Cash Money and No Limit tour, the Freedom Of Speech artist said he couldn’t answer that yet.
He also reflected on recording True Story with Tunechi in the ’90s and explained how Tune briefly left CMB to join his stepfather Rabbit‘s label, but tragedy struck and someone killed Rabbit. After that loss, the Young Money CEO returned to Birdman and Slim.
You can watch B.G. discuss Wayne missing the Verzuz match and Swizz‘s reaction in the interview video below!
“I talked to Wayne yesterday and I talked to Wayne the morning before the Verzuz. Shorty wasn’t feeling good. He had a concert at Drais’ the same night and he canceled that as well. Swizz felt hurt behind it. Because for real, that’s the reason Swizz pulled the trigger on it, because Wayne agreed… He definitely was supposed to be there, he told me he wasn’t feeling good, and he had to go to the hospital.”
