Lil Wayne recently spoke about his new Amazon Alexa+ partnership, his Tha Carter VI album, and his unstoppable drive.
He did the interview with Forbes, where he broke down elevation, longevity, and staying ahead of the curve.
Wayne On Partnering With Amazon Alexa+
First, Wayne explained why teaming up with Amazon for Alexa+ felt natural.
Alexa+ extends the popular Alexa product and works as a more advanced personal artificial intelligence (AI) assistant.
It helps users organize their lives, remember details, and manage busy schedules.
Weezy F Baby shared that Alexa already played a big role in keeping his own day on track.
“Partnering with Alexa+ just made sense. I always try to be ahead of the curve in my life, and with how Alexa has leveled up, the timing was right. Alexa+ is now smarter, slicker, and more personalized, and helps me get things done with how busy my schedule is. It makes life smoother without missing a beat, and it feels good to be part of something this big with Amazon.”
Next, he revealed that he uses Alexa+ for much more than work.
Mr. Carter also leans on the tool when he relaxes, makes music, or hosts friends and family.
“No matter where I am, Alexa+ is there to hype me up and help me out. When people hang out at my house, she sets the mood with lighting and plays the right music around the house for every vibe, like when I want a playlist of my hottest party songs from Tha Carter series.”
Lil Tunechi then described how Alexa+ even helps when you only remember one iconic bar.
“She even makes it easy if you want to hear a song but all you can remember is one bar, you can ask her what track goes ‘Real Gs move in silence like lasagna,’ and you know she’s going to play my track ‘6 Foot, 7 Foot’.”
Furthermore, late-night studio sessions now run smoother with Alexa+.
“If we’re doing late sessions in the studio, she remembers everyone’s favorite snacks, go-to take-out spots, even food allergies, so we get something everyone likes. Oh, and when I need to get out the door, she can tell me how long it will take, when I need to leave, and order the Uber for me.”
Tha Carter VI Is “The Grown-Up Weezy”
After speaking on tech, Weezy moved to the music and his latest studio album, Tha Carter VI, which dropped this past June.
According to Tune, the project showcases an evolved version of himself.
“Man, Tha Carter VI is the grown-up Weezy. That’s experience, that’s legacy, that’s me still rapping like it’s 2005, but wiser. I’m talking life lived, lessons learned. I’ve built the mountain, now I’m putting the mansion on it.”
So, Wayne sees this chapter as both a continuation and a new level.
He still raps with the same energy, but now adds even more wisdom and perspective.
Elevation, Longevity & A Hunger That Never Left
Finally, Weezy reflected on his grind and longevity in the rap game.
He looked back at his early days and compared them to his current workload.
“When I think about the start of my career, it seemed like the grind back then never stopped. I may have come a long way, but things are busier than ever. I see the world in punchlines, so I just rap whatever comes to me.”
Tunechi also mentioned how fans still study his lyrics line by line.
“Plus, I know it’s folks out there who still study every line I drop, so I can’t let them down. The hunger ain’t never left, the fire just matured.”
So Wayniacs, will you try Alexa+ to run a Tha Carter playlist at home?
