I feel like it's gonna get a pushback, May 5th? With no info on it at all, its almost march and has not one song out. Usually he waits like 6 months after a single, or more.

Tha Carter was released June 2004. Bring It Back dropped in April.
Tha Carter II was released December 2006. Fireman dropped in October.
Tha Carter III was released June 2008. Lollipop dropped in March.

C4 is the only anomaly.

Unless you're lookin at Rebirth and IANAHB2. They just started jumping the gun with single releases. It's good to wait, tho, because before folks would complain they'd heard half the album by time it released.
