Denzel Washington Mentions Lil Wayne & Lollipop In His Commencement Speech At Dillard University In New Orleans

Actor and filmmaker Denzel Washington delivered a commencement speech to students graduating at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 9th.

What’s funny about that is during the beginning of his speech, Denzel was asking someone if they can spit like Nas or Jay Z, but then realized he was in Louisiana, so he changed his choices to Cash Money and Lil Wayne.

“Can you spit? A little bit? Nas or Jigga? No, no, we in Louisiana… Cash Money All Stars? Lil Weezy? Not “Lollipop” though, not “Lollipop”!”

You can check out this cool clip out after the jump below. It looks like Denzel Washington isn’t a big fan of Weezy‘s “Lollipop” song haha!

Spoken Reasons Discusses How Lil Wayne & His Work Ethic Can Be Compared To 2Pac

Comedian and actor Spoken Reasons sat down with Vlad TV recently to give his thoughts on which music artists he thinks are the closest to Tupac Amaru Shakur.

At the 6:55 mark of the interview after he discussed how Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar can be compared to 2Pac, Reasons says no one can come anywhere near as close as Lil Wayne for having a similar work ethic as Pac. He actually says that he believes Wayne has put in more work musically than the late West Coast legend.

Spoken Reasons went on to talk about how no one in hip-hop will ever have more music than Weezy F Baby and that there will always be new Weezy albums, even after he passes on (which is also similar to 2Pac).

You can watch the interview in the clip below! Do you agree with the Reasons?
