2 Chainz Shares Stories Of Being Around Lil Wayne In The Studio & How Wayne Helped Him Rap Without The Usual Structure Of Bars & Hooks

2 Chainz was the special guest on episode 136 of Complex’s “Everyday Struggle” series, which you can check out below.

At the start of their conversation, Tity Boi spoke on how he never really cared about counting his bars when he first started rapping and how being around Lil Wayne made him not follow the usual structure of verses and hooks on a song. He even shared a funny story of Wayne rapping 40 bars with no hook.

Later on in the interview, Chainz revealed one of his biggest motivations of his music career was being next to Weezy in the studio working while he was being told he had just sold 1 million copies of his Tha Carter III album!

On Set Of Fat Joe, Lil Wayne & French Montana’s “Yellow Tape” Video Shoot [Pictures]

On Set Of Fat Joe, Lil Wayne & French Montana Yellow Tape Video Shoot

I first heard about a Fat Joe song called “Yellow Tape” featuring Lil Wayne, French Montana and A$AP Rocky earlier this month, now it looks like they recently shot a video for it in Miami. This track will be the next single off Joey‘s forthcoming untitled album and someone who has already heard the record said Weezy only appears on the chorus. I guess it isn’t that bad as a few of Joe and Tune‘s collaborations only included Wayne on the hook, such as “Make It Rain“, “Heavenly Father” and “Crack House“.

You can view more photos from the video shoot after the jump below, courtesy of RR. The visual is being directed by Eif Rivera and A$AP couldn’t make it to the video shoot, so he will be shooting his parts at a later date.

In the video above, you can watch Game speak to Rap-Up about a song he has on his forthcoming RED album called “Martians vs. Goblins“, which will feature Lil Wayne and Tyler, The Creator. Game says that Weezy will only have one line on the hook, but it won’t be a sampled line.

The good news is that we should be getting a new Game single soon that will feature Tunechi again, along with plenty of other artists including: DJ Khaled, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, and Teyana Taylor. The single, which is called “Bottles & Rockin’ J’s“, will be produced by Lex Luger, and Game‘s RED album will be in stores on August 23rd.

I’m pretty sure Tune will have a verse on the single this time 😛
