Lil Wayne Could Shut Down His Young Money Record Label If It’s Not Being Ran Properly

Lil Wayne Could Shut Down His Young Money Record Label If Its Not Being Ran Properly

According to The Blast, who have obtained new documents in Lil Wayne‘s lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records, Wayne is wanting to shut down his Young Money Entertainment record label if it’s not being handled properly.

Weezy has asked the court to “appoint a receiver to supervise the operations of Young Money Label joint venture, or order the termination of Young Money Label joint venture and appoint a liquidator.”

We already know that Tunechi is trying to take his company away from Cash Money, which includes keeping his artists Drake and Nicki Minaj, but Birdman has already responded to the latest update in the lawsuit by claiming Tune has no right to terminate his record label as he is still under contract.

Would you like to see Young Mula shut down if it means Lil Wayne can be free from CM? If you want my personal view on this news, I have included a video below that basically sums up what I think of it!

Lil Wayne Cancels His Live Performance At The SummerFall Concert In Curacao

Lil Wayne was due to headline the 2016 SummerFall concert at Stadion Ergilio Hato aka Sentro Deportivo Korsou (SDK) in Willemstad, Curacao last night with Rick Ross, French Montana, Meek Mill, Yo Gotti, August Alsina, Fat Joe, and Jeremih.

However, Wayne cancelled his appearance and performance, but there doesn’t seem to be any exact confirmation as to why. According to TMZ, reps for Tunechi have told them he didn’t show up because of a breach of contract and promoters for the show are saying that they did everything right with the contract and Tune didn’t turn up because he suffered from a seizure on Friday evening.

Hopefully it all gets cleared up and we find out soon why Weezy didn’t end up performing live at this year’s SummerFall concert in Curacao!

Lil Wayne Wants To Know What Birdman Spent $70 Million From Their Universal Check On & Why He Let Tyga Go

Lil Wayne Wants To Know What Birdman Spent 70 Million Of Their Universal Check On & Why He Let Tyga Go

According to TMZ who have obtained the legal documents for the ongoing Lil Wayne vs. Birdman court case, Wayne wants to know how Baby has spent $70 million that they were supposed to share as partners in their record labels Cash Money and Young Money.

Tunechi is arguing that Universal Music Group gave Birdman an advanced $100 million check for a distribution deal, but Tune didn’t see much of that money. He also wants to see proof Baby has spent around $70 million on royalties, recording and marketing expenses like he says he has.

Birdman‘s team have handed Wayne‘s team over 22,000 pages of documents to read through, which is of course a big reason as to why the lawsuit is taking a long time. However, Weezy‘s camp are saying that none of the pages include details on how the $70 million was spent.

TMZ are now reporting that Mr. Carter is annoyed at Baby for letting Tyga out of his Young Money contract with no discussion. If you didn’t already know, Ty has now signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music record label!
