Tyga Discusses How Lil Wayne Made Him Into The Person He Is Today, Being Mad He Wasnt On Every Girl & More

Tyga recently sat down with Ebro Darden for a one on one interview with Beats 1 radio to promote his latest album, Legendary.

During their conversation, which you can watch after the jump below, Ty revealed it was Lil Wayne who helped him grow into the person that he is today from his influence, as well as his work ethic.

“Wayne, he kinda like, he helped me grow into this person and really just inspired me and mentored me through the years. He signed me when I was 17. I was over there when he was doing Carter III so, that whole process, I had somebody to look [up] to as far as like, this is how I should do it. I should be in the studio every day. This person’s doing it. I should be doing shows… you know what I’m saying? I had guidance in a way. Just putting him on the beginning of the album is legendary. After all the drama, all the shit that he’s been through, label stuff, me, and still come out on top…”

T-Raww also mentioned that he put his Tune feature at the beginning of his Legendary album, because he is the actual legend. The former Young Money artist even explained how “Bed Rock” came together after first having hooks from Ne-Yo and Omarion, why you always have to be ready with verses when in the studio with Weezy, and being mad that he wasn’t on “Every Girl“!

Juvenile recently sat down with Ebro Darden, Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez for an interview with Hot 97 on their “Ebro In The Morning” radio show to promote his and Birdman‘s joint album, Just Another Gangsta.

From the 14:35 mark of their conversation, which you can check out below, Juvie was asked about the lost handwritten Lil Wayne notebook from the Hot Boys days that is currently on sale for $250,000.00.

The New Orleans rapper confirmed that Wayne had numerous notepads full of lyrics back in the day, revealed Tunechi had a whole verse ready for “Back That Azz Up” that didn’t make the final version, and recalled saying Tune would be the future of music!

Earlier this year, both T-Pain and Lil Wayne hinted at another joint album together, and now Pain has confirmed a T-Wayne II project will be happening.

While promoting his new album 1UP, which also includes the Wayne-featured song “Goat Talk“, T-Pain spoke one on one with Ebro for an interview on Beats 1 radio about the rapper who goes by the name of “T-Wayne”, his relationship with Weezy, the T-Wayne II project, and more.

From the 8:05 mark in the conversation below, Pain revealed him and Tunechi will be recording a T-Wayne II collaboration album and that he already has hooks done which he is about to send to Tune. He also spoke about why he put out the first T-Wayne project for free in 2017!

Taylor Bennett Praises Lil Wayne, Shares A Funny Story About First Meeting Him

Taylor Bennett recently sat down with Ebro Darden, Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez for an interview with Hot 97 on their “Ebro In The Morning” radio show, which you can watch below.

At the start of their conversation, Peter revealed Chance The Rapper had told him during their interview in June that Taylor had spent around 12 hours hanging around with Lil Wayne, because everyone thought he was Chance – as they are brothers.

The Chicago rapper then went on to explain this story more by saying he first met Wayne before Chance did at SXSW and he managed to get backstage at Weezy‘s set from everyone thinking he was Chance, but he then told Tunechi he was Chance‘s brother and so Tune let him hit his blunt.

Before Rosenberg cut Taylor Bennett off as he was discussing Lil Wayne, he did manage to say that Wayne is the most hard-working artist of all time, as well as that him and Chance both love Mr. Carter and grew up listening to his music while naming songs like “Let The Beat Build“, “1 Night Only“, and even the unofficial The Drought Is Over 4 mixtape!
