Kenny Mason Discusses A Song He Already Has For Lil Wayne To Feature On

Kenny Mason recently sat down with Gabe Pabon for a one on one interview with his On The Radar radio show.

During their conversation, which you can watch after the jump below, Kenny talked about Lil Wayne inspiring him to rap and how Wayne was a huge part of his early days of first getting into hip-hop.

The Atlanta artist also shared what it meant to himself when J.I.D told him Weezy would be getting on their “Just In Time” collaboration, as well as how he has already produced a beat by flipping an old Tunechi song for the sample which he wants to get him featured on. Mason would not share which old Tune beat it was… he wants to keep it a surprise!

For #ThrowbackThursday today, here is a rare Lil Wayne interview with DJ Felli Fel that took place backstage of Power 106 FM’s annual “Powerhouse” concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on June 21st, 2008.

In their conversation, Weezy talked about wanting to see The Game and Ice Cube perform live at Powerhouse, being surprised he sold 1.5 million records with Tha Carter III in less than a month of it being released, and more.

Tunechi also spoke on recording features for The Pussycat Dolls and Chris Brown earlier in the day, as well as already working on Tha Carter IV after the C3 release. You can check out their rare convo after the jump below!

It looks like we aren’t just getting a Lil Wayne feature on DJ Khaled’s God Did album this Friday, as another Wayne feature has been announced for August 26th.

J.I.D has confirmed his new album, The Forever Story, will be dropping on Friday, and there is going to be a song featuring Weezy on the project.

The Monte Booker and Christo-produced song will be called “Just In Time” and it will also feature Kenny Mason! Are you looking forward to hearing a collaboration from the Dreamville rapper and Young Money rapper?

The return of Nicki Minaj‘s “Queen Radio” show happened last week on August 11th and Lil Wayne was one of the special guests.

During their conversation, Wayne was asked what he prefers out of big butts or little butts and if he thinks he shaped this generations desire to have girls with big booties.

Nicki called Weezy her “idol”, “inspiration” and “friend”, as well as asked him to send her something to jump on for the upcoming Tha Carter VI album. She even asked him when the project was going to come out, but he didn’t give that information away.

Also in their interview (listen below), Tunechi spoke on how he felt to see Young Money reunite on stage together at OVO Fest and what he would change if he could do it all over again (says he doesn’t live with regrets). Nicki even told Tune he was her first rap crush and she used to pray for his work ethic!
