DJ Khaled Shows Love To Lil Wayne At Lil Weezyana Fest, Calls Him The Greatest Rapper Alive

On August 25th, the 4th annual “Lil Weezyana Fest” took place in Lil Wayne‘s hometown New Orleans, Louisiana at Champions Square’s Bold Sphere Music.

During the show, a video message popped up from DJ Khaled showing love to his “brother” Tunechi and asking him to perform “Mr. Carter” off Tha Carter III:

“Wassup? I go by the name of DJ Khaled and I want to show love to my brother Lil Wayne, my brother for life, day one, that’s family. That’s the greatest rapper alive, matter of fact, one of the greatest to ever did it, don’t ever play yourself, don’t ever play yourself. Ayo Wayne, you know we all waiting for that C5, that Carter V, and I know it’s more fire, more classics, you know what I’m saying? But right now, I think we should tap in to that Carter III, sometimes you know we need to tap in, you know what I mean? If it’s good with you, I would like to see you perform ‘Mr Carter’, another one.”

Weezy replied with: “I got you” and proceeded to perform the C3 song live for everyone in attendance. You can watch Khaled‘s video message after the jump below!

Chris Brown Calls Lil Wayne The GOAT For His “Suicide” Rhymes, Juelz Santana Teases “Tha Carter V”

Chris Brown Calls Lil Wayne The GOAT For His Suicide Rhymes, Juelz Santana Teases Tha Carter V

Taking to his Instagram account, Juelz Santana uploaded a photo of the fake Tha Carter V billboard, which is 100% photoshopped, with a caption teasing Lil Wayne‘s upcoming album.

With two words that us Wayne fans are certainly familiar with, Juelz wrote: “Soon Come #Carter5 @LilTunechi”. Do you think this could mean Santana will be featured on C5?

In other news, Chris Brown also took to his Instagram page to call Tunechi “THE FUCKING [GOAT]” with a clip showing Tune‘s rhyming skills on his “Bloody Mary” song that features Juelz Santana.

You can check out both posts from the two music artists below! My only concern is why does it take a viral video showing how Weezy rhymed “suicide” in a verse to make everyone on social media jump on the bandwagon? Did no one actually listen to the verse when the song came out at the start of this year?

In related news, an “unnamed source” confirmed to DJ Booth last month that Tunechi‘s Tha Carter V project is “tentatively slated for release later this year”. When do you think Tune will be dropping C5?
