Here, we have an excerpt from XXL Magazine‘s interview with Lil Wayne for their July/August 2011 issue that will be on newsstands tomorrow (July 12th), and some pics from their photo shoot! You can view the photos below, along with the excerpt were Weezy talks about celebrating with the Mavericks, Tha Carter IV, writing, being a father, and retiring.
Lil Wayne tells XXL Magazine that he will be dropping his Sorry For The Wait mixtape in a week or 2, and that he decided to release the tape because Cortez Bryant pushed Tha Carter IV back to August. Weezy also says the mixtape will have about 10 songs and be similar to No Ceilings, with him going in over other artist’s beats. Lil B a confirmed feature too.
Check out this new Ludacris track titled “Sex Faces” featuring Lil Wayne and Trey Songz. The song is off Rap-A-Lot Records’ upcoming 25th anniversary compilation album. Have a listen below and hit the jump for the first glimpse of info on a new Tunechi mixtape.
