Lil Wayne Claims Cash Money Records Screwed Over His Young Money Artists In Lawsuit

The latest update in Lil Wayne‘s $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records is Wayne claiming that the record label didn’t just pay him, they also didn’t pay his Young Money artists for their work either.

According to TMZ, who got their hands on new legal documents in the case, Weezy says that he has received letters from Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga‘s camp claiming that they all got cheated out of money from Cash Money too.

Nicki even sent a separate letter claiming that her producers that she worked with also never got paid by the record label and Tunechi says that it’s Cash Money Records‘ responsibility to pay all producers.

More details in these new legal documents claim that Tune was supposed to get a big chunk of the $100 million advance for his Young Money label, which Universal Music Group gave to Cash Money, but he never got it.

Producers Da Internz Say Lil Wayne Blessed Their Music On His Tha Carter 5 Album

Da Internz, who are two producers that go by the names of Ernest “Tuo” Clark and Marcos “Kosine” Palacios, confirmed to SPIN that they have done work on Lil Wayne‘s forthcoming Tha Carter V album, which will be released on December 9th.

Even though they don’t know when C5 will be out, Da Internz did say that Weezy F Baby blessed their beat and that they respect what Weezy and Cash Money Records have done for music as a whole.

Producers Mannie Fresh & Key Wane Discuss Their Involvement With Lil Wayne Tha Carter 5 Album

On the black carpet at the 2014 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards in Los Angeles on August 22nd, Hip-Hop Wired caught up with producers Mannie Fresh and Key Wane to ask them about their involvement in Lil Wayne‘s forthcoming album, Tha Carter V, due to drop on October 28th.

Mannie mentioned that him and Weezy are trying to recapture Tha Carter I sound on the fifth installment of his Tha Carter album series: “If you know Tha Carter I, then you know Mannie Fresh and we’re just trying to recapture that sound.”

Wane explained that he has heard some stuff from C5 and even though he does not know if his beats will make the final cut of the album, he will still listen to it as he is a big fan of Tune: “Regardless, Carter V, Carter VI, Carter VII – I’m going to listen to them whether I’m on it or not.”

Alfred Morris Says “Dedication 2” Is His Favorite Mixtape, The Olympicks Confirm Working On “Like Father, Like Son II”

On the red carpet at the 3rd Annual NFL Honors at Radio City Music Hall in New York City last night, Fuse caught up with a few American football players to ask them who they would choose to be in their fantasy music lineup.

During the interview with Alfred Morris, he mentioned that Lil Wayne‘s Dedication 2 mixtape is one of his favorite mixtapes of all time. Pretty cool!

In other news, producers The Olympicks recently spoke to Jack Thriller/ThisIs50 about being signed to Cash Money Records, as well as working on Birdman and Weezy‘s upcoming Like Father, Like Son II: Tha Last MOB collaboration album.
