Kyle Shanahan Discusses Lil Wayne Sending Him & His Son Carter Surprise Gifts

San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan recently spoke on Lil Wayne sending him and his son Carter surprise gifts during a press conference, as well as if the origin of his son’s name is actually after Wayne.

The NFL coach revealed that Weezy‘s PR team reached out to wide receiver Pierre Garcon and asked him to give two signed posters and two signed CDs to his manager. Kyle also mentioned that it was really thoughtful Mr. Carter sent him the explicit version of Tha Carter IV and his son the edited version of Tha Carter III.

In May of this year, we found out that San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan named his son Carter after Lil Wayne, because he was “obsessed” with his music.

As soon as Weezy heard about this news, he sent Kyle and Carter signed copies of his Tha Carter III and Tha Carter IV albums, as well as gave them both posters with a personal message on them.

Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” Album Is Now Eligible For A Quintuple Platinum Certification

Lil Wayne Tha Carter 3 Album Is Now Eligible For Quintuple Platinum

According to Chart Data, Lil Wayne‘s iconic album, Tha Carter III, is now eligible for a 5x Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with 3.97 million in traditional sales and 10.5 million in sales/streams from the singles.

If you didn’t already know, 10 streams of a song now equals 1 album sale. So if you do the math, you can see that the singles have earned over 1.05 million in sales, which makes the total of Weezy‘s classic album at 5.02 million sales.

Thanks to the recent 10 year anniversary of the project on June 10th, C3 re-entered on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 163 and jumped 230% in pure sales! Do you think this is Tunechi‘s best album?

During his sit-down conversation with Peter Rosenberg, the Chicago rapper was asked about his thoughts on Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter III album to which he said both of the albums are amazing (the leaked version and the official version).
