Wale & Lil Wayne Debut Running Back Live On ESPN First Take Show

This morning, Wale and Lil Wayne debuted their “Running Back” single by performing it live on ESPN’s “First Take” sports television show.

The song will be appearing on the MMG rapper’s upcoming SHINE (Still Here, Ignoring Negative Energy) album and as him and Weezy have already shot a music video for it, we could be hearing “Running Back” real soon.

Behind The Scenes Of Wale & Lil Wayne Running Back Video

Wale and Lil Wayne shot a music video for their upcoming single called “Running Back” on Friday in Atlanta, Georgia.

We previously heard 2 snippets of the collaboration back in August (here and here), so hopefully we are getting close to the release of the collabo if they are now shooting a visual for it.

It was also back in July when we first got word Wale and Tunechi had recorded a new song at the Record Plant studio in Los Angeles on June 27th and that they were going over concepts for a music video.

Unfortunately, the teaser is only 5-seconds long, but we can hear a little bit of Weezy‘s verse on the song that was recorded at the Record Plant studio in Los Angeles a month and half ago.

Wale Has A Collaboration With Lil Wayne On His SHINE Album & They Plan To Shoot A Music Video For It

At the end of June, Wale and Lil Wayne had a studio session to record a track for the Maybach Music Group rapper’s forthcoming SHINE (Still Here, Ignoring Negative Energy) album, due to be released later this year.

The studio session took place at the Record Plant studio in Los Angeles, California on June 27th and The FADER were invited into it. The magazine confirmed that Wale and Weezy recorded a collaboration that night.

Also in the story, which you can read in full here, The FADER mentioned that Wale and Tunechi brainstormed some concepts for a music video, so I think they are planning to make the song a single! Who is looking forward to hearing it?

It’s that time of the week again! This week’s “Feature Friday” installment is Wale‘s “The Cliche Lil Wayne Feature (It’s The Remix Baby!)” track featuring Lil Wayne.

The Osinachi-produced song originally leaked back in 2007 as the “Nike Boots” remix, but it was released officially on Wale‘s The Mixtape About Nothing project, which dropped in 2008.

“I say: ‘bitch stay out of my business’; When we fuck, she say: ‘Just stay out my kidneys’; I say: ‘don’t say it if Simon didn’t’; And America Idol-ize a nigga, but they better cause bitch I’m me; And you are you too, but bitch I’m three”
