T.I. Says He’s Reppin’ For Lil Wayne While He’s In Jail

“Well, his daughter and my daughter, they’re real, real close,” Tip explained. “My daughter spends the night with them, his daughter comes to spend the night with us. I told him, ‘Whatever I can do. Whatever it is that’s within my power’ … I know how it is with kids, especially with a period of time like that.

“Even though it may seem like a short time — to the media, it may seem like ‘He got off easy’; to everybody, it may seem like ‘It’s only a couple of months’ — to a child, that’s an eternity,” he continued. “So I’m like, ‘Whatever I can do, it’s all good.’ I just let him know there’s people out here who’s still reppin’ for him, people who will go above and beyond to do whatever needs to be done.” – MTV

Also, be sure to check back later (around 8PM EST) for a new Lil Wayne feature on T.I.‘s upcoming mixtape “Fuck A Mixtape:)

Damian Marley Speaks About Lil Wayne’s Distant Relatives Feature

Damian Marley Speaks About Lil Waynes Distant Relatives Feature

We previously posted that Lil Wayne would be featured on Damian Marley‘s and Nas‘ collaboration album, Distant Relatives, on a record called “My Generation” along with Joss Stone. Damian recently spoke with HipHopDX about Wayne‘s feature on their album, and confirmed that he was definately on there. You can read what Damian said about Tune‘s verse below:

Damian was asked his thoughts on Lil Wayne bringing a younger generation into his and Nas’ global-minded album.”It’s funny, because the track is called ‘My Generation,’” Damian answered with a chuckle. “It’s definitely geared towards that. [Lil] Wayne really showed a lot of respect in his verse, in the way that he handled it. He handled it exactly how I would’ve really loved him to. I don’t have any criticism at all about what he did. I think it’s a great and blessed track. That’s all I can really say about that.” Wayne’s verse reportedly touches on the one-ness in different cultures, eras and music.

Anyone excited :?:
