While backstage during Vans’ “ComfyCush High School” event at The 1896 studio in Brooklyn, New York on February 21st, Lil Wayne chopped it up with Noah Thomas from Highsnobiety for a little interview.

For their conversation, Weezy revealed what his favorite Vans sneaker of all time is, as well as how it feels to be a pioneer of both the skateboarding world and the hip-hop world.

Lil Wayne & Young Money Shoot A New Music Video At Diamond Supply Co Skate Park

Over the weekend on February 9th, Lil Wayne, along with his Young Money artists and skateboarders, shot a new music video at Diamond Supply Co.’s indoor skate park in Los Angeles, California.

The song that they shot a visual for is currently unreleased, but we can hear new vocals from Tunechi, Gudda Gudda and Jay Jones. One of the lines we can hear Tune rap is: “I want my baby pictures on a hundred-dollar bill.”

As well as Weezy, Double G and Jay, the other YM artists and affiliates we can see on set are: Lil Twist, Marley G, Vice Versa‘s Poppy Holden and Yaj, and T@. The skaters that were on set are: SpanishMike, Andre Colbert, Tyreek Morrison, Jereme Knibbs, and Yosef “YoYo” Ratleff.

Jordan Garland Hangs Out & Skates With Lil Wayne In Detroit

After his concert at Little Caesars Arena on December 27th, Lil Wayne hit up Transitions Skatepark in Detroit, Michigan for a skateboarding session.

Wayne was joined at the skatepark by Jordan Garland, who also filmed the skating sesh for a vlog dubbed “Hanging Out With Lil Wayne”.

Jordan was the first person to ever film Weezy when he first started skating in 2011 and so it’s good to see how much he has improved in this new footage.

You can check out a behind the scenes look at the skateboarding sesh, as well as Garland chilling with Tunechi below. A huge shock is that Tune does not remember his “I’m On One” verse!
