Netsky Says It Was A Childhood Dream For Him & Bazzi To Work With Lil Wayne

Before premiering “I Don’t Even Know You Anymore“, Netsky spoke to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Apple Music’s radio show all about his new collaboration with Lil Wayne and Bazzi.

The Belgium music producer discussed why he got Tunechi and Bazzi on his new single, revealed it had been in the works for a while, and added that it was a “childhood dream” for both himself and the Michigan singer-songwriter to work with Tune.

Monsta Beatz Talk Producing Migos & Lil Wayne Fantastic Collaboration, Reveal They Had A Song Pulled From Tha Carter V Last Minute

Monsta Beatz recently chopped it up with Thedo and MAQ on episode 89 of his “DaTakeOver” podcast (who have chatted with Fee Banks and Mannie Fresh in the past) for an hour, which you can listen to below.

During their conversation from the 32:40 mark, the New Orleans production duo revealed Lil Wayne is the most mainstream music artist that they have worked with. If you didn’t already know, they produced Wayne‘s “I’m Good” featuring Lucci Lou off No Ceilings, as well as “Vizine“.

The producers also spoke about receiving a phone call from Universal Music Group about having a beat on Tha Carter V; however, the song was pulled last minute. They even added that they produced Migos’ upcoming “Fantastic” collabo with Tunechi, which we heard a snippet for in 2015, and discussed producing Curren$y’s “442” track featuring Tune and Birdman!

According to TMZ, Kanye West has been recording new music with Lil Wayne, Migos, Timbaland, 2 Chainz, Tee Grizzley, and YNW Melly out in Miami, Florida.

The studio sessions have been for Yeezy‘s upcoming ninth studio album, Yandhi, which currently has no release date.

Ye and Weezy and previously collaborated together on songs like “See You In My Nightmares“, “Barry Bonds“, “All Of The Lights (Remix)“, “Lollipop (Remix)“, and more! Are you looking forward to hearing the new music they have worked on?

Reason, who is signed to the record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), recently mentioned on his Instagram Story that his dream collaboration is with Lil Wayne.

The Carson, California rapper must really want to work with Mr. Carter as in his top 5 list he added “Wayne”, “Tunechi”, “Weezy”, and “Dwayne Carter”, with the last spot going to J. Cole.

In related news, Reason participated in an interview with Ambrosia For Heads last month and revealed that his “favorite rapper of all time” is Wayne, as well as also said that it was the Dedication 5 mixtape which inspired him to do music himself!

Lil Wayne Recalls Working With Mac Miller On The Question, Explains The Difference Between Hearing & Listening

A “Celebration Of Life” tribute concert was held for the late Mac Miller, who died from a drug overdose on September 7th, at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California on October 31st.

During the benefit show that included performances from Action Bronson, Anderson.Paak, Chance The Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, Miguel, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Vince Staples, and more, there was a big screen that played messages for Mac from music artists that couldn’t make it.

One of these shout outs that played on the screen was from Lil Wayne at his TRUKSTOP skate park, who shared his memories of Miller and recalled doing their “The Question” collaboration together back in 2012. Wayne also went on to explain the difference between “listening” and “hearing”.
