Regina Hall Calls Lil Wayne Dope & Unique

Regina Hall sat down with Genius last month to take their “The Lil Rappers Quiz”, which is a quiz about rappers who have “Lil” in their name.

While answering the question correctly about which “Lil” rapper has the most GRAMMY awards by saying Lil Wayne, the actress and comedian revealed she thinks Wayne is dope and unique as nobody else sounds like him.

Trina, Kevin Rudolf, FatBoyMixx, Tammy Torres & Bigg D Share Stories About Lil Wayne On Mike Sherman Before The Fame

Lil Wayne was the featured guest on the latest episode of Mike Sherman‘s “Before The Fame” series.

The show included old interviews with Wayne, as well as new interviews from Trina, Kevin Rudolf, engineer FatBoyMixx, Tammy Torres, producer Bigg D, and a music trivia with random people on the street.

During Trina‘s interview, she spoke on dating Tunechi, why he is one of the greatest, and confirms he will be featured on her new album The One. Tammy also talked about dating Tune, being in love with him, and how he is not the same person as he was 10 years ago.

For Kevin‘s interview, he discussed how he got signed to Cash Money, what it is like working with Weezy, their chemistry together, and reconnecting on “I Will Not Break“. Stephen McDowell aka FatBoyMixx, who did work on Tha Carter V, chatted about Lil Wayne‘s work ethic, witnessing Wayne record a whole song from scratch in 15 minutes, and called him “the no. 1 rapper”.

Music producer Bigg D spoke about producing JAY Z and Mr. Carter‘s “Hello Brooklyn” collaboration, revealed Weezy is his “favorite artist” that he was worked with, called him “a legend” in the industry, and says all the new generation rappers “pretty much got it from Wayne“. Kid Buu Calls Lil Wayne The Jesus Christ Of Hip Hop Culture, Says He & Every Other Rapper Are Clones Of Wayne

Kid Buu sat down with XXL a couple of months ago to explain why he deserves to be a 2019 Freshman.

During his pitch, which you can watch below, Buu explained that he is known for being a clone, but he is actually just a clone of Lil Wayne.

He then proceeds to say that he thinks everyone is a clone of Tunechi from their image to the way they talk/rap and everyone who appears on this XXL Freshman series should be paying homage plus respect to Tune.

The Jersey artist also pointed out that anyone who says they aren’t influenced by Lil Wayne are still technically influenced by him, because the rapper who does inspire them was more than likely influenced by Wayne. He even mentioned that Weezy is the Jesus Christ of hip-hop culture and the question is not “what would Jesus do?”, but more like “what would Wayne do?”!

Skip Bayless Speaks On His Friendship With Lil Wayne, Reveals A Good Deed Wayne Did For Craig Humphreys Son Sam

For episode 2 of UNDISPUTED’s “#SkipRidesTheTrollerCoaster” series, Skip Bayless revealed how his relationship with Lil Wayne came to be.

At the 6:05 mark of the video below, Bayless told the story of how he first met Tunechi in 2008 (which involves Nelly), mentioned they talk regularly and text all of the time, discussed Tune‘s passion and knowledge for sports, praised the “No Mercy” theme song, and called him a “creative genius”.

The sports columnist also explained how much of a good guy Wayne actually is by sharing another story that involved Craig Humphreys‘ son Sam, who found out he had testicular cancer at the age of 21-years-old. After finding out that he is a huge fan, Weezy made a 20-minute phone call to Sam for support. Skip then went on to say he believes this motivated Sam to battle the cancer before adding that him and Mr. Carter shared a joke about it always being “all the white kids” – even at his concerts!

Dennis Quaid Calls Lil Wayne A Poet & The Bob Dylan Of Our Time

Earlier this month, Dennis Quaid made an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to discuss playing a villain in The Intruder and to promote his new film, A Dogs Journey.

At the 2:00 mark of their interview, Jimmy asked the actor and musician what kind of music does he listen to and to everyone’s surprise, he mentioned that he listens to Lil Wayne.

Dennis also called Tunechi a “poet” and says he is the “Bob Dylan of our time”. He even did a little cover of Tune‘s “Lollipop” single. Check it all out in the video after the jump below!
