Tory Lanez recently sat down with Rob Markman for a one on one interview with Genius‘ “For The Record” series, which you can watch in full below.

To wrap up the conversation at the 39:15 mark, Lanez was asked to recite a verse acapella of someone who he was a fan of growing up to which he started to rap Lil Wayne‘s classic “Cannon” verse from Dedication 2.

After reciting all of the verse word for word, the Canadian artist then revealed it is his favorite verse from Wayne and his favorite verse ever from that era. Earlier on in the interview around the 15:00 mark, Tory also discussed his new “Thoughts” collaboration with Weezy and Lloyd off Chixtape 5 too!

I previously posted up photos over the weekend, and now we can see some footage of Lil Wayne‘s surprise appearance and performance during the “ComfyCush High School” show by Vans at The 1896 studio in Brooklyn, New York on February 21st.

While on stage, Weezy spoke to the crowd and performed “Mr. Carter“, “I’m Goin’ In“, “John“, “Got Money“, “Pistol On My Side“, “Let It Fly“, “6 Foot, 7 Foot“, “Lollipop“, “Mrs. Officer“, “Pop That“, “Dedicate“, “HYFR“, and “A Milli” live.

On February 21st, Lil Wayne was a surprise guest at the “ComfyCush High School” event by Vans, which took place at The 1896 studio in Brooklyn, New York.

The RVSP-only event was put on to celebrate the new Vans ComfyCush Era. While he was in attendance, Weezy put on a live show for everyone.

Sevn Thomas chopped it up with Billboard a couple of months ago to discuss producing Lil Wayne‘s “Let It Fly” song featuring Travis Scott off Tha Carter V.

The producer talked about how he feels the collaboration is like “a 2018 DMX kind of record” and explained why it’s special for him to be a part of Weezy‘s Tha Carter album series.
