Everything You Need To Know About The Original Version Of Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” Album After The Leak

Everything You Need To Know About The Original Version Of Lil Wayne Tha Carter V Album After The Leak

A couple of days ago, a lot of the songs (20 in total) from Lil Wayne‘s original Tha Carter V album surfaced online. I was not going to make an article about this, but too many people are hitting me up asking about it, so I’ve decided to do what I did when the Velvet Sessions project leaked online.

Due to copyright laws, I cannot post the tracks on this website, but for those who have heard the music, I will list what has changed on each record. If you recall back to 2014, CV was originally due to drop back then, but with the long lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records, Wayne ended up re-recording the album and releasing it in 2018.

The full versions of “Mute” featuring a dope verse from Big Sean and “No Brainer” featuring a dope verse from Flow are also included in this new leak. I always tell people that Tunechi‘s best music in my personal opinion seems to be more his leaked music over official releases and hearing songs like “Life Of Mr. Carter“, “Scottie Pippen” and the hilarious “Form Good” confirms this statement even more for me.

You can check out exactly which tracks leaked from the original Tha Carter 5 project below! From the tentative tracklist we received in 2014, this now just leaves “Start This Shit Off Right” with Christina Milian and Mannie Fresh, “She Said Better Get ‘Em“, “Grindin” with Jeezy and Young Thug, “Brad Pitt” with B.o.B, “Mano Y Mano” with Gudda Gudda, and “Murda” with Flow as unreleased. If you have heard the OG C5 album, how did you like it and did you prefer it more than the official version we got nearly a year ago?

Lil Wayne Reveals When He Will Release His “Funeral” Album & Announces New Partnership With Video Game Company Ubisoft

Lil Wayne Reveals When He Will Release Funeral Album & Announces New Partnership With Video Game Company Ubisoft

Similar to every year before “Lil Weezyana Fest“, Lil Wayne phoned into Wild Wayne from New Orleans radio station Q93 a few days ago to promote his upcoming 5th annual music festival that will be taking place on September 7th.

During their conversation, Wayne chatted about the growth of his “Lil Weezyana Fest” as it has changed to a bigger location for this year and it will include a jazz tribute, carnival food, rides and 2 stages at the upcoming concert, as well as how he wants his festival to be up there with the rest of the big festivals, such as Lollapalooza.

Tunechi then went on to list who is on his Young Money record label (doesn’t name Drake) and reveal he will release his Funeral album at the end of this year. He even mentioned that Funeral is done and it is now up to Mack Maine to pick a bunch of songs for the project and title them.

Also in the 17-minute conversation, Weezy discussed what he does to create new experiences, his Young Money Sports agency, Los Angeles Lakers, Green Bay Packers, and announced he has just partnered with video game company Ubisoft were he will be releasing funny commercials and ads for the Ghost Recon Breakpoint marketing campaign!
