Lil Wayne Celebrates His 36th Birthday & Tha Carter V Album With A Goat, Stevie Wonder, Chris Brown, Ashanti, Trippie Redd, Wiz Khalifa & More

At midnight on September 27th until the early hours of September 28th, Lil Wayne celebrated his 36th birthday and the release of his Tha Carter V album with a party dubbed “Wayne’s World” at Hubble Studio in Los Angeles, California.

There were plenty of special guests at the soirée including Stevie Wonder, Chris Brown, Ashanti, Big Sean, Trippie Redd, Wiz Khalifa, Chevy Woods, Reginae Carter, Rae Sremmurd, Ray J, Timbaland, Shaggy, Draya Michele, Trey Songz, Tiffany Haddish, and his Young Money artists.

The event let guests eat traditional New Orleans food catered by Trap Kitchen, smoke marijuana, and show off their skateboarding skills on a skate ramp. There were also two goats in attendance at the party to pay tribute to the actual G.O.A.T. himself before he was presented with a three-tier birthday cake. Lil Wayne Recalls Working With Mac Miller On The Question, Explains The Difference Between Hearing & Listening

A “Celebration Of Life” tribute concert was held for the late Mac Miller, who died from a drug overdose on September 7th, at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California on October 31st.

During the benefit show that included performances from Action Bronson, Anderson.Paak, Chance The Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, Miguel, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Vince Staples, and more, there was a big screen that played messages for Mac from music artists that couldn’t make it.

One of these shout outs that played on the screen was from Lil Wayne at his TRUKSTOP skate park, who shared his memories of Miller and recalled doing their “The Question” collaboration together back in 2012. Wayne also went on to explain the difference between “listening” and “hearing”.

You can check out Tunechi‘s video message after the jump below. The concert allowed viewers to donate to The Mac Miller Circles Fund (TMMCF) to support youth arts and community-building programs in Mac Miller‘s memory. Rest In Peace!

Tory Lanez Announces Talk To Me Remix Featuring Lil Wayne, Shares His Thoughts On Tha Carter V

Tory Lanez recently sat down with Big Boy on his Real 92.3 radio show in Los Angeles, California for an interview and to promote his new album, Love Me Now.

At the 36:10 mark of the conversation, Tory announced Lil Wayne just jumped on his “Talk To Me” single off his Love Me Now album that originally featured Rich The Kid. The Canadian artist revealed Wayne gave him a “legendary verse” and it will be released within the next week or two.

Before moving on with the interview, which you can check out below, Lanez mentioned he is a real Tunechi fan and he is one of his biggest influences, as well as that he used to pretend to be Tune in the mirror while growing up. He also shared what he thinks of Tha Carter V and added what his favorite song off the project is!

Lil Wayne and Post Malone will headline the Friday show, while Cardi B and Lil Uzi Vert will headline the Saturday concert. After the skateboarding session, Spanish Mike gave Tunechi and Ricky Willis an early preview of the European Diamond Footwear Tour video.
