Currensy Recalls Playing PlayStation With Lil Wayne When Everyone Was Calling Him The Best Rapper Alive

Curren$y recently chopped it up with It’s The Real‘s Jeff and Eric Rosenthal on their new “A Waste Of Time” podcast for just under 1 hour, which you can listen to below.

During the conversation at the 14:35 mark, Spitta talked about going to middle school with Lil Wayne and Cortez Bryant in New Orleans. At the 40:30 mark, the Jet Life founder discussed not seeing Wayne going on to become the most influential artist of this generation, but he did see the crowds and show venues get bigger. He even recalled playing on the PlayStation with Weezy while everyone was calling him the “best rapper alive”.

Before the interview wrapped up, at the 45:55 mark Curren$y was asked what he remembers about his “Poppin’ Them Bottles” verse on Lil Wayne‘s Dedication 2 mixtape and lastly at the 52:50 mark, he explained how he got Tunechi on his “Bottom Of The Bottom” single, as well as how often he see’s Tune!

Yesterday, Lil Wayne‘s daughter Reginae Carter graduated middle school. Reginae, who is also an artist signed to Young Money, celebrated with her proud parents Wayne and Toya Wright‎, as well as other family members including Birdman, Mack Maine, Dhea, Memphitz, Jacita Carter, Anita Johnson, Bria Williams, and Bryan Williams Jr.

Weezy F Baby and Mack also went on Twitter to let the world know how proud they are of Nae Nae:

“Saw my daughter graduate to high school today!! Wasn’t able to hold bak the tears man. I’m many things but I’m a very proud father FIRST.” – Lil Wayne

“Proud dad and a proud a uncle!! Congrats to Nae Nae on graduating today!! Time for high school now babygirl…Love you” – Mack Maine
