Lil Wayne To Perform Live At The 2022 Governors Ball Music Festival In New York City

On Friday night (June 10th), Lil Wayne will now be performing live during this year’s Governors Ball Music Festival at the Citi Field stadium in New York City.

The Migos were originally supposed to perform at this event, but “due to circumstances out of [their] control”, the rap group are no longer going to, and so Wayne has replaced them.

If you wish to attend the music festival, click here to order your tickets online. Kid Cudi, Jack Harlow, Skepta, Coi Leray, and more artists will also be performing on the Friday night. Are you going to attend the show?

As it is #ThrowbackThursday today, here is some footage of Lil Wayne‘s appearance on BET’s “106 & Park” show over 15 years ago on January 10th, 2006.

While on the show, Weezy explained how he injured his wrist while playing basketball, as well as wanting to shoot his “Hustler Musik / Money On My Mind” music video inside The Carter building in New York City from the movie “New Jack City” before he then premiered the visual.

For an early 37th birthday gift and to say thank you for joining them on their North American tour, Blink-182 presented Lil Wayne with a special blunt.

The rock band gifted Wayne this blunt while on stage during their final show together at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City on September 20th. Weezy even brought his homie T@ out on stage to light the blunt for him.
